  1. My husband's interview at the u.s. Embassy in London was last week on the 16th. Since then, I've checked his status on ceac and noticed that they checked his case three times including today, as it reads today's date, but the status is still ready and not "issued". What does it mean when the date changes where it reads last updated? In light of the current delays how long should things take? Should we be doing anything like contacting the embassy?

  2. My husband had his interview with the American embassy in London on 16 June, 2015 and his ceac status reads "ready." should the next step read "administrative processing" or "issued"? also, when registering for the courier service, I mistakenly put down my u.s. home phone number instead of my husband's English mobile number, will this be a problem? i know the website says they send a text with the tracking number, but i hear people also receive emails. I provided the correct email address so I'm hoping we'll still receive the tracking number to pick up the visa packet when it's ready. Also, I hear that there are delays with the issuance of visas at the embassy; anyone have any idea how long it should take? we have a new born and my husband and I are devastated that he's already had to miss out on so much of our baby's new life. please, any help would be appreciated.

  3. the interview date is on june 16th but he'd have to leave for England earlier for the medical exam and then come back 10-15 days after the interview date with his visa in hand. so if he asked for an earlier date then he'd have to leave somewhere between now and the next two weeks to go back to England. I could go into labor really any time between now and the end of June.

  4. I am an American petitioner of my English husband. he just received his interview date for the 16 of june but it's the very week of my delivery date (i'm pregnant!). my husband is here with me in American right now to ride out the last few weeks of my pregnancy together and we had hoped to experience the birth of our first child together as well. if we went on the online embassy contact form and asked to have the interview rescheduled, would it push back the process several months? I've heard stories of some people having to wait several months after rescheduling for a new interview date and i'm worried about that. also how long do they take to respond to an inquiry about rescheduling?

  5. my husband has thought about rescheduling his appointment as well. it's on the 16th of June, but we are pregnant and he was hoping to be here for the delivery, which happens to be that very week! he is currently visiting me in America, riding out the last month of the pregnancy. if I filled out that form to reschedule, how long would it take for them to get back to us and would we have to wait several more months for the next date?
