  1. Hi guys! My fiance came here in the US about 3 weeks ago and we're deciding to get married next week,

    But right now we have to apply for a marriage license in Nevada and I believe having a passport is necessary,

    she lost her passport in a restaurant last night and they haven't found it since,

    is it possible to get a marriage license with just her birth certificate?

  2. Hi guys, my fiancee's interview is coming up next week! And I'm very worried about my AOS.

    As you can see I am on my early 20's and did not have any tax return for the past 2 years, but I do have a full time job that I just got this year.

    I am making around $28,800/yearly and stated on the AOS, this is the list of files we have for the AOS:

    • AOS Form, making $28,800 yearly
    • Bank Statement stating that I have $5,000 on my bank account.
    • Letter of Employment that I'm making $28k a year and I am full time, original letter with signature of employer.
    • Letter explaining why I didn't have any tax return last year.

    My question is would this be sufficient? Without W2 or IRS transcript? Please let me know.

  3. Hi guys, I just went through St. Lukes website and saw that you are required to show the letter of case number to get a medical done,

    We don't have the letter for our case number because we got it over the phone, also we did our interview over the phone, I asked the lady on the phone

    and she said our case is ready for interview. What do I do about the letter? Her interview is already set within 2 weeks!

  4. Hi Guys! We just got approved and got our NOA2 recently, Now our next problem is for my Affidavit of support documents, here's our case right now:

    1. I know that Manila Embassy is only requiring last year of TAX return and W2.

    2. Problem is, I did not have a job last year and my last tax return was 2 years ago.

    3. I just got a job this year January 2015, and working as 1099 or self employed Web Developer and getting paid hourly my total salary for a year is $40,000/yearly.

    4. I cannot provide and tax this year because 2015 tax return is not up for filing yet.

    5. I do have Recent Pay check stubs, Bank Account Statement and Letter of employment.

    Would this be enough? :(

  5. Hi again guys, I badly need help on this part of the process, I just got an approval (NOA2) within 1 month after filing for Fiance Visa,

    Visa Journey helped me get through the first step, so I appreciate every helpful member in this forum, I thank you with all my heart. But again, I would have to ask you guys again to help me get through this second process of the application.

    I was under the impression that I would only need salary range and letter of employment on the form.

    But I was looking at the requirements on US Embassy in the Philippines and saw that they require 3 years of W-2 and 6 recent pay stubs.

    In 2013, I only worked as a part time and got around $170 refund, 2014 I did not work as W2 at all, I was just doing some personal projects and was on vacation in the Philippines for half a year,

    I just got a job in Jan. 2015 as 1099 and filing for taxes should be by next year. So I don't really have anything to show.

    Now, the question is, WHAT DO I DO? PLEASE HELP :crying:

  6. Well since my fiance already sent me the signed letter like this :

    Fiancé Letter of Intent

    [PETITIONER’S NAME]
    [PETITIONER’S ADDRESS]

    United States Department of Homeland Security

    U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services

    [ADDRESS OF FILING LOCATION]

    (Date mm-dd-yyyy)

    Dear Sir or Madam:

    I, (beneficiary’s name), do hereby state that I am legally able and willing to marry (petitioner’s ), and intend to do so within 90 days of my arrival into the US using the K-1 visa.

    Yours truly,

    (Signature)

    (Print name)

    Can I send it like this? Or should I ask her to send me another document with correct format?

  7. So, my fiance just sent me all the documents needed to file our K-1 Application but I think there's a problem on the letter of intent that she sent me, this is the format that she used:

    Fiancé Letter of Intent

    <petitioner’s name>

    <petitioner’s address>

    <petitioner’s phone number>

    United States Department of Homeland Security

    U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services

    <USCIS service center address>

    <today’s date>

    Dear Sir or Madam:

    I, <beneficiary’s name>, do hereby state that I am legally able and willing to marry <petitioner’s name>, and intend to do so within 90 days of my arrival into the US using the K-1 visa.

    Yours truly,

    <beneficiary’s signature>

    <beneficiary’s name>

    so is this correct? I've seen example with their name both on top and bottom, Is this suppose to be my name on top and her name on the bottom?
