  1. Our Journey is almost complete!! She will fly tomorrow!!

Any last words of advice?? She already plans to be at MNL Airport very early.. but we were wondering about things like:

Like how much money she should take with her??

    customs/immigrations tips??

any thoughts would be greatly appreciated..

Just want to say how much we appreciate this website!! and thanks for all the kindness of the members that helped us along the way!!

  2. Ok.. glue worked great.. slec did question her about not getting a new passport.. fiance explained that it would be 3-4 weeks and she couldnt remain in Manila that long.. she also said, you offered me the option to use it or not, so I'm electing to use it.. the woman said ok and wrote something on back of her receipt. . So medical done!! Interview on 27th or sooner if we catch a cancelation! ! :)

  3. Thanks for replies.. a friend told her to go to main DFA office near Edsa, said she walk in rather than schedule online.. will know more tomorrow.. the glue sounds good to me.. thanks again?

  4. My Fiance just went to St. Lukes for medical.. They informed her that her passport was Damaged and may not be accepted at embassy. The front cover of passport is peeling away a little bit, like delaminated slightly.

She is being told she cant even get appointment until August for replacement..

    Any ideas??

could she go to embassy now and ask if they will accept?? Her Embassy interview date is set for July 27?

We dont know what to do! Thanks!!

  5. Indeed, as of yesterday, 7/23/2015 was the earliest available.. I know many people here have gone through this process on their own.. We chose to use RapidVisa and it seems to really be paying off now.. They have been so kind and helpful to her since she got to Manila.. Thank you all for the input you give on this website.. it's a true blessing!!

    p.s.

She is celebrating her birthday in Manila TODAY!!!

  6. I think I did a poor job in asking my question..

What I was actually trying to ask was.. What would be the EARLIEST appt. she might be able to schedule?? I assume the Embassy must be booked out for some period of time???

Thanks again!!! All the info you guys linked me to was wonderful.!!

  7. contacted NVC on 6/30/15 after waiting 30 days.. they said everything was sent to Embassy in Manila on 6/12/15.. He gave me the Case# and Invoice#.. I asked why we never receive a letter and he said I dont know, embassy should send you something.. Now my fiancee is in Manila and we are being told she needs NVC letter to pay fee?? We thought she only needed the Case# / Invoice#..

    IS THIS TRUE??

HOW DO WE GET THE LETTER???

    thanks!!

  8. NOA2 received May 26.. Letter informed us that USCIS has approved our petition and sent us to NVC.. Wait for CASE# that will be sent by email and or regular mail, but do not inquire before 30 days.. After 30 days I called NVC, and after hours of busy signals and being on hold.... A very kind gentleman answer my call and says, YES SIR.. we received on Jun 10 and forwarded to Manila Embassy on June 12! NO EMAIL.. NO REGULAR MAIL to notify us? He said Hmmmm.. guess not.. WE ARE PAYING LARGE AMOUNTS OF MONEY FOR THESE SERVICES! UNACCEPTABLE to be treated with such disregard!

We certainly are not upset with the good man that gave us the news we waited so long for.. We also acknowledge how quickly we have moved through the system compared to others.. it's just sad to see such lack of consideration for people paying a fee for a particular service!! Take care all.. We do truly pray and wish all the best to everyone who is also waiting and facing their own challenges!! :)
