1) You can contact them using their immigrant visa email. Give them your NVC number and DS-160 application number as well as the names of the parties (petitioner and beneficiary). Ask them for an interview, and they will either schedule you or let you know that they need to review your file before they can schedule your interview.

2) Yes, you were correct. The embassy will need you to fill out the DS-160, but you have this done now.

3) You check the status of the case using: https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/

Use the NVC number in the immigrant section and it may say "Ready". You can use the Nonimmigrant section and use your DS-160 application number, which may say "No Status". Checking the NVC number is more accurate.

Each country is different, so you may want to check the UAE portal up at the top tabs. The information that Jamaica, UK, Romania, etc needs will be different from that which UAE will need.

When you dial... As soon as you hear a voice hang up and hit redial... Keep doing this until you hear it ring... After the ring the man will start talking... Hit 1,3,1,1... This will get you the operator you need.... Be prepared to hit redial a lot and a lengthy wait listening to the same music repeating for up to 45 mins .... Good luck

Yes, I agree. DS-160 for K-1 and DS-260 for CR-1. The fiance visa is treated as a immigrant visa by the DoS, because it's a non-immigrant visa with immigrant intent. When you are checking your status, you will use the immigrant section of CEAC.GOV, but when the visa is issued, the title should update to Non-Immingrant.

I called today and did and got a case complete today. Now i have to wait for an interview, so glad im closer now.

Our case has been approved by uscis at 4 jun 15 and sent to nvc at 14 jun but still we dint get any update from nvc ? What u guys suggest for us to do further ? We sent couple emails n courier but still no reply from nvc.. Plz advise and share ur experience

help us how u respond them about meeting requirement in last two years and what evidences you provided them ? becoz they asked us lot of evidences so your answer will be helpful for us to proceed further with my case.

Waleikum Assalam. My fiance had his interview March 25 and they asked him a lot of questions about me and my family. They asked about my fiance and even asked why are we not getting married in Pakistan. Jawwad had to give the financial documents again because the guy interviewing my fiance didn't have them for some reason. So I dunno if this is the reason for AP or not but its getting close to two months and we haven't had any update at all. They didn't ask for anything else and the interview guy just said everything looks good but the case needs further review. So he got the white paper and left his passport with the embassy. Now just waiting for a result I have no idea what to expect ?

I think it means they are reviewing it and will make a decision soon? It's good they are working on it though. Mine hasn't been touched since interview AP just sucks
