  1. We had our interview today In Chula Vista and, although the official never said anything at the end like "Congratulations" or even a "You're approved", I knew we were approved when he pulled out the form telling us to submit the I-751 in 21 months to remove the conditions of our approval. We had to sign the notice and he stressed how important it was to remember this date because they do not send out another notice.

Anyway, the interviewer was very neutral, not friendly but not rude. Just very business-like. He asked mostly about where we were living now, and asked if my spouse had ever been arrested or engaged in terrorism and a few more questions like that. He also asked for new evidence (such as utility bills in our names and such) and we had a few things for him. Plus we had new photos of us. Mostly, he did not chit chat at all. He reviewed many documents in his file, not saying anything to us. He left the room for a while and I began to wonder if he wanted to discuss an issue with a supervisor or something. But he returned and said nothing. So, it was not a fun interview but nothing bad happened and we were approved!!! yeah. Now we can relax for 21 months without having to worry about more documentation. He said that we would get the green card in 2 - 3 weeks.

Thanks to all of the people on VisaJourney who have made this whole experience much better and easier than it would have been without this site. This is one of the best such places on the internet that I have ever found. Special thanks to Cris_32 for your comments and help.

Congrats !!!! It's a big relief ! Your case will probably update to card in production today or tomorrow watch ;)!

  2. Congratulations on getting approved. Nice to read that you plan to join the Army and all the best in your new career. I hope our interview in Chula Vista next week (Sept 22) goes as smoothly. Let us know when you get your green card. I have read that some people wait a long time for their card. Hopefully, Chula Vista does not take so long. Thanks for giving us an update.

Thanks ! Good luck to you tooo! And I heard Chula Vista doesn't take too long after being approved washburn had his interview on August 25 and he received his green card sept 4 so exactly 10 days! Also people that had their interview before doesn't take long average 10-15 day (2weeks) like the officer says
  3. Hi Guys I'm approved !!!!

We had our interview today In Chula Vista ! It's was only about 15mins long I'm almost positive that she was training or just got hired because their was another older officer inside the room she just basically ask for all original documents like birth certificates and iDs ...she asked my wife some basic questions like our address my name and how long did we live together ...then she moved on to me ask the yes/no questions ...she ask if we had any additional evidence we want to showe her ...we have her the lease, bank statements, insurance bills phone bills and my son birth certificate, we also had a phone album and ask if she took some pictures....at the end she said she was going to recommed us for approval to her supervisor and to wait for an answer on the mail ...she also explained the conditional card and told us when to file to remove conditions we were out by 1:35pm around 3pm I received a text that my new card is being produced ! I'm so happy !!!

My plan is to now join the U.S. Army and become a citizen there!

Thanks for all the help specially those that I message when I had questions ! Good luck I know the waiting sucks but it's all worth it my case took exactly 5months 1/2

  4. Interview over approved on spot YESSSSS!!!!!!!!!!, I didnt even get back to my car two blocks away before I got email that card in production, and about 20 mins later another saying card being produced, we were called in 20 mins after appointment time, had a second person there, which I thought ####### they are about to seperate us, but he was there just to observe, interview lasted about 40 min, looked at papers we brought, checked against what she had and gave back, had us go throw interview, but after a few dates realized I had been going to to philippines every 4 month since we met in 2010, that we owned property and cars in philippines and US, and stopped me and said I guess you have solid relationship, ask couple more questions than said she was going to approve, and reminded us many time to apply for removal of condition 90 days ahead, even had us sign a form about it,

I am really thankful for this sight, I had a lawyer, how didnt do anything but file, we put the packet together for the interview, many people there with thier attorney, even the IO was suprised mine was not there

Congrats and good luck to everyone

Congrats ! I'm glad it's all over for you a least for the next two years ! I have my Interview tomorrow @ 1pm in Chula Vista I'm excited I just want to get everything done

  5. Guys do you have any idea what I can do to get my interview date?

Last time I spoke to Level 2 Agent and he Expedide my Case. After that I reviewed a letter telling me, that they process now October 2014 :(

    What else can I do?

Call again you will speak to a different level 2 agent ! Some of them are really helpful! Just call again and ask that you want to know when are you getting your interview schedule or you want an idea

  6. im so nervous about my interview i jst don't wana get denied im looking at a 10 year ban that's a long amount of time without being able to visit my husband or see him

Your shouldn't be nervous if your marriage is real ! As long as you have the documents in the letter you should be good! Reminder that the officer can denied your case he can only request more evidence

Sorry I meant to type "can't"

  7. I also would like to hear how things have gone in San Diego. Today, we FINALLY found out about the interview date by checking the status on-line. This does not tell us if we are going to be interviewed in San Diego or in Chula Vista. But I suspect it will be San Diego because we just moved there from Chula Vista. Hopefully, the letter will come in the mail in the next day or two.

Our interview date is September 22.

Tomsd mine is on the 16 I'll be able to tell you how it goes !! My office is Chula Vista tho not Downtown San Diego

  8. Congratulations on finally getting the interview date. You have inspired me to start calling every week. We have very similar timeline - the AOS application was sent in on March 27, biometrics done on May 1, and have been in a "we are ready to schedule your interview" status since June 28. Very frustrating but seeing that you got an interview date is encouraging. I hope Chula Vista is finally catching up.

Congrats to all the others who have got their interview dates and to those who have passed their interviews! Sorry to read that Baltimore filers are still waiting (like many others in California).

Any news on your interview ?

  9. Called yesterday but as usual was asked to keep waiting. I tried unsuccessfully to have me transfered to a superior instead the lady asked that I make an infopass appointment online.

They can't denied you the transferred to an officer just called and don't explain anything to the representive and just say "can you please transferred me with a Uscis officer and it's about a pending I-485" the two times I called they transferred me right away the only thing he ask for was my case number

    Hello All,

I called USCIS today and after explaining to the "customeer service person" what was going and and my reason for calling, I was finally able to talk to a T-2, who after 5 minutes of holding came back and said everything looks good and we should be getting letter for interview soon, that has really made our day

Dude keep me updated ! We're from the same office so you your almost next !;) good thing is that I can share you my interview experience before you have yours so you know what to expect ?

  10. Hi guys I finally got my interview scheduled for September 16 I'm so happy right now!!! remember I called on the 5th and I spoke to you a USCIS officer he told me that I should receive something before August 26 that he didn't know why my application was still at the national benefit center but he will transfer it to Chula Vista and if I didnt receive anything by the 26th to call back and he will take care of it I honestly recommend to call at least once a week.

    My timeline

    Sent application March 25

    Uscis received it 1

Got biometrics done on April 21

August 11 got my interview email for September 16 in Chula Vista !
