My question is, I am currently a permanent resident with the intention to get my parents a green card once I become a citizen which I will attempt, in 2017 when I'm allowed to. Now, my parents have had tourist visas since 2008 and they come frequently to the US to visit. Since I am planning to bring them over as permanent residents and they plan on buying a house once they're here I wanted to get them a credit card now so they could start building their credit. Does anybody know if having a credit card and credit score hurt their intentions to become permanent residents later down the way?
Getting a green card for parents outside vs inside the US

I am planning to apply for a green card for my parents and I just read that the process is different depending on whether they're inside or outside the United States. My question is: is one way better (meaning easier or faster) than the other, because in their situation they are tourist visa holders and they could come to the US and start the process from here. Now I've read against using the tourist visa with a different with a different intent than it was granted to. My question is has anybody had a similar experience? They could come a long time in advance to be here way beyond the 30/60 days they advice to presume intent. Say if they came 4 or 6 months before they apply would they still be at risk of being considered as misusing their tourist visa if they came so long before applying for the green card?
Thanks
