  1. how do you print out chat history like whatapp and viber? <_<

I'm not sure about whatsapp..We used to use viber and nowadays we use line...You can get the chat history on viber (at least on ios) if you click on "more" then "settings" then "calls and messages" and choose "email message history".It will be a zip file with all of your chats on viber.Unzip it and print out the messages between you and your spouse

  2. Can you post some pictures of how you organize your documents please?

Ofc!There you go!So basically I have 5 folders separated by different color dividers in a binder. I made some printable labels for each folder (I posted one so you can see)

    • First folder is the interview letter
    • Second is visa application and fee receipts
    • Third one is civil documents and their copies (birth, marriage certificate etc)
    • Fourth one is financial evidence
    • Fifth one is proof of relationship (I included emails, chat history, plane tickets and the affidavits we had sent to the USCIS when they RFEd us). In an envelope shaped folder I added some of our photos (about 4 from each visit).

That's about it!If you have any questions let me know and if you guys have any tips,I'm all ears!Good luck to us all!

  3. Please am really getting worried now.... I got a case complete on November 24 and yet to get interview.. But I see someone on the same consulate as mine get a case complete this Jan and already have interview scheduled for February... Dwheels pls how is the interview scheduled... I believe its by who gets a case complete first... Pls someone calm me down.. I am so getting impatient now... What could be the reason

No need to panic!Have you called them?It does seem like a long time to get an interview scheduled.Perhaps the other person you're talking about was expedited. The best you can do is call them (try option #4,this is to confirm an interview date) and tell them what you tell us.That it's been too long and other people are getting interview dates.NVC does not schedule interviews but they will know what could possibly be happening.I'm sure everything will work out!

  4. Good morning/afternoon/night everyone!Just got off the phone with NVC..We got an interview date MUCH earlier than we anticipated!!February 3d!!That's only 28 days after CC!!Now I'm a little anxious to have everything ready by then!Oh boyyyyy!

But in about a month I'll finally get to be and start our life together with my husband!!!So happy about that...I also can't help but feel sad about leaving family and friends behind.I'm especially close with my mom so this is going to be hard..If anyone has any tips about dealing with that or is just in the same place I am feel free to message me.

New year and new wonderful beginnings!!!Good luck to everyone waiting for cc or interview dates! :D

  5. Hi. My interview is on January 20. I got worried coz I saw someone posted about the petitioner's court records. My understanding is that if you're on a spouse visa, you really don't need to bring the petitioner's court records to the interview. The I-130 didn't ask for any criminal history. The important thing is I know about my husband's criminal history.

My question is, do you know someone who got denied because he/she (beneficiary) didn't bring the petitioner's court record to the interview?

Hi,I don't remember seeing anyone talking about petitioner's court records, perhaps they confused the terms petitioner/applicant.No,you do not need to bring or will be refused a visa for not bringing them.I'm sure they do any background checks needed on their own while the application is processing.

The only reason I can think of where an applicant's court records are needed is perhaps if there was a previous marriage. They usually ask to see all originals sent during the nvc stage so maybe that's what they were talking about?

  6. Congratulations again.... Can you please check your case at the CEAC VISA STATUS CHECK to see what it says?

    https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx

Actually I am asking every one with a CC to check there to verify what the status is.

    = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

    Congratulations!!!!!!.

I checked your timeline this morning. I knew you would get it today! I'm so happy for you and your hubby! Congrats Niki and Mike!!! Yay!!!!

Thanks everyone!!Good luck and fast CCs!!

  7. Congratulations again.... Can you please check your case at the CEAC VISA STATUS CHECK to see what it says?

    https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx

Actually I am asking every one with a CC to check there to verify what the status is.

No prob!I already did!It still says "At NVC",I did call and confirmed cc over the phone tho

.I'm guessing the status changes once the case leaves NVC or the interview is scheduled. It could also be that my cc is very recent and they haven't updated everything yet.

  8. HAPPY NEWS FOR US!So, I've been checking the ceac website every 3-4 hours the past few days.I checked a few hours ago and called nvc and still there was no update on our case.I decided to check the website again,I noticed it was taking a little longer than usual to log in and then when it did- 3 N/As!!!SOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY!I'm on the phone right now with nvc again to confirm.
Hubby said it was the best news to start his day!! Good luck to everyone waiting,I hope you all get CC and interviews scheduled ASAP!
Our scan date was the 27th of November so today is day 40 for cc! :joy:(L):joy:(L):joy:(L)

Took a screenshot of the page on ceac in case anyone's wondering what it looks like with 3 N/As

  9. Who sent the documents.... you or the attorney.... sometimes attorneys are the one who make the case suffer and slow.... that is the reason i did myself so i know what i dispatched....I know NVC loose document but it also depends how the documents were send and how well it was organized....Also is your birt certificate in English or not if not then this checklist must be for birth certificate with English translation.....

I agree 100% about attorneys...Good research on your part and you'll do better than any attorney.

Btw,the documents do not have to be in English. The instructions say to get translation when the documents are not in English OR the official language which the embassy handling the interview uses. For example my interview will be in Greece so docs in Greek are ok.That saved a lot of money.

  10. Happy New Year.. I'm in the process of waiting for a case complete and interview date. I received an email from NVC on New Year's Eve saying to allow 30 days from when they received my packet to my interview date and case complete.. I hope I find something out this week.. Good luck to everyone.

Hi and Happy New Year! Unfortunately NVC has increased the waiting period for Case Complete to 45 days. From what I see on your timeline, you sent your docs on 12/10 so I'm guessing your scan date is about a week after that.

You will most likely get case complete at the end of January/first week of February. You can wait for them to email you (which will probably take a week or so) or check for 3 N/As on ceac/start calling around the end of January.

A week after that you will receive instructions for your interview, when the interview takes place depends on the embassy.I would say most likely 1-2 months but check other timelines from your country and see how it worked for them..Good luck!

  11. honestly am a bit confused . u just replied to someone saying the case was no longer with uscis . pls clear me a little bit more . i have been calling the usic and they keep say a decision is yet to be taken . am just tired

Sorry I didn't remember the comment you were talking about cause it was about a week ago. I thought it said department of state because of a comment above that one.I may have quoted the wrong one. Are you calling the local office that has your case? If yes and they say no decision then there's not much you can do.It usually takes them 2-3 months though so it shouldn't be long.Calling is essential in my opinion no matter where the case is.

  12. my has been with the local office for close to 3 months now those that mean that my case has been transfered to NVC? pls kindly assist me am so fustrated at the point , we filed since april.

No,NVC is department of State...You need to keep in mind that if you're expecting them to call and inform you about the process,it's going to take a loooong time...Start calling the USCIS!You can get all the info you want from this website.Use key terms on the search bar and I'm sure you'll find everything you need

  13. Sorry no, you are wrong. The email says "Please allow 30 days from the date we received your mail." So that is the scan date, not the date on the email (: Unless I am reading your message wrong- in that case I am sorry.!

We are saying the same thing. My comment was a response to another user saying that the date you start counting is the day you receive an email from them. What I said was that that was inaccurate and your scan date is the day they say they received your mail (so the aos and iv documents).Sorry if I wasn't clear- Date they received your documentsand put them in the system=scan date, so 30-45 days after that you get case complete

  14. You start counting from the day you receive an email from NVC confirming that they have received your documents.

That is not correct. They state very clearly on their email that we should allow them 30 days from the date they receive the documents to review them.

Not the day we receive the email. For example I received the email on December 1st BUT the day they received the documents was November 27th. The difference now is that instead of 30 it will be closer to 45 days to hear from them.

  15. Still it´s UP TO and not always the full time.

Lets hope that work load will go down after new years.

very true!I'm just torn between two very conflicting thoughts.First is that since they were saying 30 but in average took them 35 days then maybe it will be the same this time around and it will take them 50 :(

On the other hand perhaps it's exactly the fact that it was taking more than 30 days that made them increase the waiting period to 45 just so they're not out of schedule.I'm hoping that this is what happened.

  16. My case status is still "MyCase Was Received At My Local Office"

"On October 1, 2015, we received your Form I-130, Immigrant Petition for Relative, Fiance(E), or Orphan, Receipt Number xxxxxxxxx, at your local office."

Should I be worried?? it took more than 60 days now

USCIS no longer has to do with your case so you won't be seeing any updates from them. You should have called 6 weeks ago on NVC that now deals with your case. Please research this website or the nvc website for the following steps

  17. And you did alter the last from 001 to 003 and the other way.

They dont all end on the same :)

    STK - Embassy.

    2015 - Year.

    836 - 500+date (i think it was.).

    003 - Can be 001 or 003.

Think the last i hear it was about 30 day + 5.

    But call them.

They say 2-4 weeks o the web page last i looked.

Hi!Can you please explain how you add up the date number...For example my scan date is November 27th so how do I do it?11+17+2015? Probably not...Please help!
