I had been asked to submit a joint sponsor 4 months ago at the US embassy in Cairo which i did a few weeks ago .

My case status got updated from ready to AP .

I have checked the US embassy's website and it said that most cases are resolved within 5 months .

My medical examination is going to expire in a few weeks .

I dont know what is going to happen and when i m going to get my visa .

Has anyone of you guys had the same thing ?

When can expect to hear back from them ?

Yes, leave it blank and write a sentence or two explanation as to why no taxes were filed.

guys would you please tell me what to do if the sponsor didnt have income for the past 2 years but has income for the current year ?

would he leave the income of 2013 and 2012 blank?

I have been asked to submit a joint sponsor which is hard to do because nobody wants to sponsor me ,but i have called a lawyer and he advised me to tell my parents to sell some of rheir assets and put 60000 $ in my bank account but my parents dont wanna do that . My questions is can they just transfere the ownership to me and present the documents to the embassy? Would it work ?

For the I864, I believe you need to have income at 125% of the poverty level for your family size.

Assuming your fiance doesn't have any dependent children she's bringing with her, it would appear your family size would be (4) - you, your fiance, your brother, your mother. According to the 2015 Poverty Guidelines for the 48 Contiguous States and the District of Columbia, a family of (4) would need an income of $24250; 125% would be $30313. They are asking that you provide evidence that you meet 125% of the poverty guideline. Probably best to provide evidence of your liquid assets to cover the gap from your income.
