  1. have any of you heard about a wrong A#?

My two K2 were approved on July 2007, and both have wrong A#'s. I schredule an info pass and the officer made me to fillout an I-90 and kept the two greencards. Now I haven't received a letter, not even a touch on their I-485. I called the mis-info # and was told that it takes about 6 months. Right now they have a A# but those are showing pending on their system. I received a phone called from the officer that I spoke with on October and she said that CSC will recreated the cases. Right now I just have to waint, since suppostly you don't get a NOA for I-90's.

The officer aslo told me that she can't give a stamp since the real A# were showing pending. I don't want to go back again to that office cause it's few hours away from home and it means another day off from work.

Can somebody give an idea of what I need to do?

  2. I put the control number instead of the Visa number on my petition. Geez, it was red and bled into the background and didn't say Visa Number, but still. What do you think, it will be corrected there by a helpful officer since a copy of the visa is right in front of them, or they will send it back RFE?

    Geez, geez, geez

This the topic I was looking around. I did the same mistake and whoever approved my 2's K-2 didn't see it. I was told by the 800# that their A# was the Non-immigrant Visa # in red. The cases were approved and their A#'s assigned were the Non-immigrant visa#'s. I received the greencards and when I went to the social security office to get their socials issued I was told that those A#'s were assigned to somebody else. I did a info pass and the lady kept the green cards and told me that will send an e-mail to California about this case. She found the real A# but the case is pennding. She called me last week and told me that California asked to mail the green cards back and they will recreated the cases again.

Now I'm worry of what is going to happend, since I don't have a case# to follow up. have you guys heard about something like this before?

  3. Thank you for the postiong Grinda

I went ahead and did a walk in on 10/23/2007. The original date for fp was 11/02/2007

I noticed that some of you posted "touched". Could you please tell me how do you determine that?

Edisheri, a touch is when your case online has the date change. For example if you go online to see how your case is going you will see the date next to the application that you submit. If the date changes is that they touch it, they could touch it everyday during the week. When they touch it, it means they are working on your case.

  9. I did it, I did it!..... :jest::jest::jest:

    I called CSC...

    featherB thanks a lot.

The lady told me that she will requested the card for production, the green cards were not done yet cause they were waiting for the biometrics to be download, since the cases were transfer to CSC.

She told me that will be mailed in 3 weeks and in case I don't get them to call them back.

Thank you all for your help.

As soon as I get them will let you all know.

  10. When I did my husband Vermont was pretty fast, but now that I applied for his I-751 is like paying them back, I sent his lifting on 4/27 and last touch was in June and since them nothing else. Oh also forgot to stated that his I-485 took more longer than I could expected, it was transfer to CSC on 2004 and by seeing my timeline you all could see how long we waited to get it aproved.

I think this is just luck.

Well let see who is next, cause I think none Vermont I-751 will be transfer, instead will waited between 6 to 7 months to ge approved and I'm assuming this just by seeing all Vermonts approved, and most of them are almos 6 to 7 months.

  11. I need it cause I called the non-help 800# and request informartion about my 2 K-2's stepdaughters and recieved a letter saying that I they still review the cases.

What is confusing is that I was told on the letter that I if I need info to write to them, insted of writing I want to call. Do any of you have a way to get intouch with that service center?

They were approved on July 2007 and still haven't recieved their green card. I do have the welcome letters but nothing else.

    Please help.

  12. Well still not touch at all!

Plus, my two stepdaughters were supposted to received their green card since July and still haven't get them, I called and requested info and was told that they still reviewing the cases.

I think that they are holding them until my husband I-751 gest approved. It's kind of stupid becuase they also told me on their welcome letter's that both of them will received a two years green card instead of a 10 years. I was told that if the marriage was over 2 years they will get their 10 years one. So, my toughts are they are holding them and when he gets approved they might received their 10 years one, not their 2 years.

have any of you hear of something like this?

  13. that is not true. Start your wife's AOS as soon as possible. Some people might get confused, you might get that from the port of entry, cause they told me that my 2's K-2 were now K-4 cause we got married, kind of crazy, but like always they don't know what they are doing.

I started my husband AOS on 12/03 and they came to USA on March 2005 and did a late filing for them and they are now approved.

    Good luck.
