I am not sure that you can reschedule the interview date. I called the NVC once to ask about the same matter and they just told me that I am not allowed to do that. They said that they will be the one to schedule the interview with my home country embassy as soon as there is an available date.
-
Are you saying about Adjustment of Status cause that the only way I know of to have an interview in the US. I am currently going with Consular Processing and they told me that I must fly back to my home country. For your information, my PD will be current next month (September). I am expecting an interview letter in about 2-4 weeks but my classes are starting next week.

I am currently studying in the United States so I will not be able go back to my home country for the visa interview. I just want to ask if it is possible to reschedule the interview date to a specific date (or at least 2-3 months later)? If so, is it safe to do so. Thank you.

Its showing as N/A under AOS fee as well as IV fee..... I mean once i send the documents would my caee b complete?
Hi M.F., you will have to submit all the documents to the NVC. Once they have reviewed, your case will be completed. Just follow the instructions that they gave you.

So, I submitted the DS-260 (05/10/2015) and found out today that I had made some small mistakes in the form
. Here are the mistakes:
- Having an extra letter in my father's current address in the US: Ontario Drive (correct) -> Ontarior Drive (in the form). The address is repeated like 3 times in other areas in the form.
- Missing one letter in my permanent address in my home country: Quang Trung Street (correct) -> Quan Trung Street (in the form).
Also, when I filled out the form (I am the applicant), my father was providing me some family infomation. Hence, I included him as a preparer since he helped me with the form. Will this cause any issues?
What should I do know, please help me
.

I called the NVC today, a few first representatives just kept telling me that I am doing something wrong and they couldn't help me with anything. Then, there was another representative telling me to just submit the DS-261 form again, I did that and now I am able to see the form DS-260 form... I hope that submitting the DS-261 won't affect anything though.
Thank you everyone so much for all the replies!

I am having the same problem. I also clicked the complete link to see the form and it changed to incomplete. NVC says it doesn't matter since its already finished. Its been 6 days since I paid the IV bill. Why is the website not generating the application form? NVC keeps saying to wait a few more days. Did anyone else wait? How long?
Have you heard any updates? This is taking ridiculously long for me. It has been 11 days since my IV fee's status showed a PAID status and yet, no DS-260! On the other side, I just got an email from the NVC saying that they have received my submitted documents.

Can you tell me what are the fields and what information required for DS-261?
I got access but I did not open yet. Can i Open it multiple time until I submit it????
Just google around and you will see a lot of examples for DS-261. You can always save and then come back as far as I know. However, once you have submitted, don't click 'review' the form!!

I just callled the NVC today. They told me to wait at least one week after the IV fee has been processed (status 'PAID') in order for the DS-260 form to show up. And the incomplete IV bill will not effect anything since it has already been review.

Thank you for all the replies, I am feeling less worried now
. Wow, I noticed that you sent in all the documents just four days after you submitted DS-261 Jerry. I did not know that we can do that.
-
It takes 45 days now for the NVC to review the docs that send to them. Yes next is case complete you will know that if you saw 3 N/A at the ceac, you can also verify it by calling NVC then wait for your PD to be current and they will send you your interview letter.
Thank you for your reply. Also, does the 45-day period applies for everyone? I am asking this question since I am from Vietnam and I have seen people from my home country waiting for a very long time (1 year) after they submitted everything to the NVC. I guess in that case, I will just have to wait for my case to be completed since my PD will probably be current already.

How long ago did you send in the aos and Iv packets?
It should be ok if you paid the iv fee you will be able to do the ds-260 fotm soon
even if you receive a checklist it will be case complete after you fill out the ds-260.
Hi, I sent them in about 5 days ago, right after I paid the IV fee online. The IV fee status showed 'PAID' like 3 days ago.
-
Why don't you complete DS-261 too and hopefully the sticky point might roll by to DS-260 too? I have seen people getting checklist for IV bill but yours is DS-260 which I am almost positive is part of the Case Complete process. I am surprised you were able to pay IV before you were done with DS-261 because it ties it up until its reviewed.
Oh, I am sorry, I forgot to explain about that. My DS-261 is showing incomplete because I mistakenly clicked to review. The NVC told me that it would be fine since they already received and reviewed my DS-261 (that's why I can pay the IV fee).

So according to ur reply what it means is that:
1. Get Case Number and IIN from NVC once ur case has arrived and provide ur email address
2. Log in to ceac.state.gov and fill the DS-261 first and at same time pay AOS fees of 120$
3. After 2-3 days once the AOS fees shows paid immediately print 2 copies of document cover sheet
4. Keep first cover sheet above ur AOS docs along with a cover letter & 2nd place before ur IV docs
and Send immediately to NVC
5. Once DS-261 is accepted call NVC and ask them to allow u to pay IV fees of 325$ and access to DS-260
6. Pay DS-260 fees and then fill ur DS-260
7. once every thing is done print the DS-260 confirmation letter as well as IV fees letter
8. Call NVC to confirm that they have all ur docs and wait until they do CC
Hi, I have some questions:
1. How long do we have to wait after paying the IV fee to be able to fill out the DS 260 form? (regards #5)
2. Why and when do we need to call NVC to confirm that they have all our documents? (regards #8)
3. Can we send all documents to the NVC before finishing the DS 260 form?
Thank you for any help.

Does anyone know the current time frame for the NVC to review our documents, once we send everything to them? And what will happen after they have reviewed our documents, case completed and waiting for the PD date to become current?

I have PD Jan 21, 2014. I got the NVC welcome letter and paid AOS and IV fees. I also finished DS 260 online. Also sent all the documents. I have seen many in Jan 2014 received welcome letters. Nothing beyond that.
Hi Hari, how is everything going with the process. My PD is in Jan 2014 too, I paid the IV fee and sent all the documents to the NVC like 5 days ago but I haven't been able to do the DS 260 form yet...
-
So, I paid the IV fee 5 days ago. Its status showed 'PAID' in the CEAC website 3 days ago but the DS 260 form has showed up yet. I called the NVC and they told me to wait for about 4 more days for the system to catch up... (so 1 week in total after the iv fee status showed 'PAID').
I am kinda worry because I already sent all my documents to the NVC right after I paid the fee online. What if they received them before I complete the DS 260 form?
I have attached a screenshot of my case status below.
Thank you for any help.

As far as I know it is easy to change those information when you are with the interviewer. It would be tedious to update those info later on.
