  1. Interview was on August 27th. Interview went well. I was waiting outside the US embassy for her interview that day but we got 221g for Domicile. So that same day I responded with a statement. We waited until today, October 15th in Bangkok, 14th in USA to have the visa issued. I had to fly back here to the US about a month ago which messed up our plans to fly back together. Im just glad its ready now!
Good luck to everyone else still waiting!

  2. Hi everyone, just an update!

We received NOA2 on July 6th

Just called NVC for the first time today July 28th @ 8am. They gave me my case number.(total call time start to finish 6 mins!)

I can track it with CEAC, it says "AT NVC" on the website. said for me to follow the instructions sent to me (does anyone else get this note? I didn't receive any instructions from the NVC)

Please follow the instructions you received from the National Visa Center (NVC) for the next step in the processing of your visa petition. If you have misplaced the instructions sent to you by the NVC or did not receive them, please contact us at http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3177.html for additional information.

The lady told me its undergoing administrative processing and once ready will ship to the embassy in Bangkok. I'm not sure how long it has been there or when it will leave, but at least I can track it now.

  3. I am also self employed. My line 22 of 1040 statement is $20,095: just above the 125% threshold for poverty for 2 people here: http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-864p.pdf

I recently filed my 1040 taxes however claimed a dependent so now I would need to meet the 125% minimum for 3 people correct? I think it would be easier just to amend my recently filed return and remove that dependent and I can clear when it is time for me to file the affidavit of support form.

does it matter about assets example (house, car, property, bank accts) etc or is all the info pulled from line 22 of my 2014 1040 tax return and my household size?

  4. Thanks, we are close to sending off the I-129f now

For my mailing address, Should I put my Florida, USA address even though im abroad during this entire process? Will anything need to be mailed to me(us petioner) for the k1 visa process?

When I mail the I-129f petition I use the following address since Im mailing it from abroad in Australia?

"For Express mail and courier deliveries:

    USCIS
    Attn: I-129F
2501 South State Highway 121 Business
    Suite 400
    Lewisville, TX 75067

    "

    thanks!

  5. Thanks for the help, we are going for BKK. Will be easier and seems logical.

I have another question, for her mailing address(I-129F Part 2 #3) should we use her families address in Thailand as she is not currently there? Our other option is a mailing address here in AUS which isn't as permanent but will be our address for the next 5 months or so.

I'm leaning towards the Thai address as that's where we will be for medical and interview.

Since we are only in AUS for 1 YEAR, how important is it for a police clearance for her in AUS? She can get one in Thailand as well.

thanks for all the questions, we want to make sure everything is filled out perfectly and goes fast and smooth as possible with no RFE's!

    thanks for your help.

  6. Hi everyone,

I am new here and looking for some guidance as I get started. I am from the US and my fiancée is from Thailand. We both are currently working and living in Australia. We will be here until September 10th 2015 and wanted to know what embassy or consulate she should apply for on the form I-129f Part 2 36.a and 36.b. This is where the interview will be held im assuming? Would we be better off putting Bangkok, Thailand US embassy for the interview as that is where we will go after September 10th. How long is the timeline for interview processing?

    Thank you in advanced

    Luke
