  1. Hi, we had our interview in BA and it took a week to get it back to our city (Mar del plata) I don't think you can have it the next day after the interview.

Regarding going with kids, they like to see the families not only the applicant. We went with our 3 yrs old. The interview was short but we have to wait a long time to be called, after we handle our documents. Many people go with their kids, don't worry about it, nobody is going to say anything.

where's the closest DHL in your area? Maybe you could send it there for pick up, better than traveling back to BA.

  2. Hi soncrazed! I did the medical in BA in one day coz they have a special deal with the Embassy for people who live outside BA (I live in Mar del Plata). When you contact the doctor tell him that you guys are far and need to do it in one day. It took the hole day (between going to the doctors office, the laboratory and the place where I have to be vaccinate it) but by 7:30 PM I was ready to travel with the x-raid and the big envelope to present at the interview.

  3. Hi John! First we tried to send both packages in one email, but it was way to big so we had to send two emails. One with a AOS files and the other with SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS. We wrote an explanation telling that we sent both packages and a list of files we had included. We got a pretty fast response couple of days after telling us that they recieved it and that they were going to start processing. And less than a month after we recieved the Case Completed email ?. Almost forgot... We sent too the Document cover sheet.

If you have more questions feel free to ask!! We are all in the same NVC boat ?

  4. Hello all

Once website wasn't working we sent our AOS payment by mail (as requested by NVC) las week. Now it works again, and shows the AOS fee is not payed yet (of course, it's too recent). Called NVC, the representative says it takes up to 21 days to process the payment and that I could send the documents anytime we wanted (??). Our consulate now allows both ways to send our documents email or mail. My question is:

    1) Any experience with the "email"? I believe it's easier, right? Also takes 30 days (in theory) or its longer to process?

    2) I know the package needs to be sent with a confirmation page you print from NVC (or the welcome letter they send - I haven't received anything). How about sending the documents by email? Do I still have to attach this page? I though not, once the NVC representative said we could send at "anytime", even before AOS fee is confirmed payed (what is quite odd on my understanding)

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you!

Hi!! we sent our packages thru email (April 21th) and by May 19th we recieved the Case Complete email (previous checklist on May 12 of one document coz we sent the wrong one). We scan also the "Document Cover sheet" where you mark the documents your are sending. I think the email is a good option and in our case it had work really fast. And we didnt have to deal with the fact that mail documents may take for ever to get to US (we are in Argentina).

    Good luck!!!

  5. Hi John! we are a BNS case also. We e-mail both packages on April 20th and soon after we received confirmation from the NVC office. It took them only 21 days to analize our papers and by May 19th they sent the email telling us that they completed our case.

Now we are waiting for the interwiew date.

Reading other people experience I think e-mail may be safer and faster than regular mail.

    Good look guys!!!

  6. Hi, my husband it's a U.S. citizen and our son was born in Argentina. In order to obtain his U.S. citizenship we had to make and appointment at the U.S. Embassy in BA and the procedure is called "Report of a birth abroad of a citizen of United States".

You will have to bring your us birth certificate, the baby's birth certificate ( issued by the local government where he was born). Marriage certificate and photos could be required too, as a proof of the pregnancy of your wife.

My advise is go online and check the US Embassy in the Country where you are going to work. And check the procedure of the "Report of a birth abroad..."

In our case it was an easy procedure, and our son has now double citizenship, American passport and SS number too.

  7. Hi! Im in a similar situation. My husband is a U.S. Citizen and I'm argentine. He lives with me in Argentina. We are moving back to USA.

Our case has just been completed ?.

My mother in law is our Joint Sponsor. Both her and my husband filled the I-864. My husband can't meet the minimum required for the three of us ( we have a little boy) so she is helping us.

In your dad's I-864 he only is sponsoring your husband so the household size should be 2. Which

means he will be financially responsible for your husband to the government.

You as the petitioner have to send the I- 864 as a sponsor as well, showing the information of your current employment in UK and Irs tax returns. In the I-864 there is a box where you can supplement your income with your assets. Maybe you can get the minimum with that.

One thing that is important in your I-864 is the sponsor's domicile. Coz I'm assuming you have been living with your husband in the UK, I recommend you search for documents and things to prove that you went to live in UK temporarily.

If you think I can help you in any way, just let me know. ?
