I read lovedolphin's posts. I wanted to ensure the TSCLoser club realized there was another one of us with an RFE.
Mine is different that LD's. I need to provide:
Proof of US citizenship for me
Evidence of final legal termination of all previous marriages (I have one)
Residing together/commingling finances such as the following:
- Bills in both your names (I previously sent cell phone, credit card, & auto insurance)
- History of joint tax returns (I previously sent first two pages of 2004, & 2005, 2006)
- Medical insurance reporting you or your spouse as the beneficiary (can't remember what I sent a year ago)
- Transaction statements for joint checking or savings accounts (sent some before)
- Transaction statements for mortgage payments (owned pre-marriage, too expensive to add his name)
- Date stamped photos showing you and your spouse with family and friends on holidays, graduation, and other social occasions common to a group or family (previously sent a few, including family at son's first communion, us obviously in New Orleans, us at beach, us with soccer team we coached)
I had a lot of stuff in addition to notes above. But, I didn't have any utility bills in both names because taking time off work to run all over the county to change the names is a pain in the @ss. Adding his name to the house was going to cost over $800. We're selling the house in less than a year, so it didn't seem worth the hassle/expense to do all of that stuff.

You're five hours from J-ville? Gotta be in Pensacola or thereabouts. (I'm getting deja vu -- didn't we have this conversation before?)
I'm not quite in Pensacola... If I was, I'd be closer to the New Orleans office. We're about equidistant from the offices in Jacksonville, NOrleans & Birmingham
I sure hope his card comes in soon...

So... what happens when the 1-year extension (granted by the NOA) expires? It will soon.
Your husband needs to make an InfoPass appointment and get an I-551 stamp in his passport.
Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, the closest office is 5 hours away

But there's no doubt that even if your I-751 has not been adjudicated, you can go right ahead and apply for citizenship 90 days before your third anniversary (i.e., a year after you were allowed to petition to have the conditions removed).
I thought the 3-year mark applied to the green card, not to the wedding anniversary. For instance, we wed in December '04 and he got the green card in May '05. I thought we had to wait until Feb '08 to apply for citizenship.

Hi. I'm reading through this thread, because we are still awaiting my husband's conditions to be lifted. The NOA is sometime last February. He called for a status update as listed above, and they eventually sent a letter that basically said, "It's not completed yet." What a joke. No explanation, no apology. They didn't even look at it.
So... what happens when the 1-year extension (granted by the NOA) expires? It will soon.

My husband processed thru Naples about 3 years ago (has it been that long
). His ticket was already purchased and he was given the envelope the same day of the interview. Hopefully that's still the way they do it... -
I'm hoping this means my husband will receive his soon. He filed in mid-February...

Hi. My husband has travelled on his conditional green card several times. More often than not, he is hassled when he comes in. He's made to go sit in the interview room, wait 30 minutes or so, and then answer basic questions. They aren't friendly. He answers everything politely, and is then on his way. Twice he missed his connecting flight.
Hopefully you'll not have difficulties.

My husband received his biometrics receipt. A week or so later, he received his NOA (I forget the date) and the biometrics appointment. He's off to New Orleans on 3/14.

Hello all. Since all the 'old' people seem to disappear, I'll start by introducing myself. I'm Angela and my husband Giancarlo is from Naples. We're in the panhandle of Florida, and just filed to lift the conditions on his green card. I've not been on here for a long time, so let me add how great the World Cup was :-)
Good luck to all of you in the early phases of the process. I might not be on here very often, but feel free to PM me about Naples-type questions (although, let me say in advance, I don't know anything about the hotels...).

Hi. I mailed my husband's form to TSC on 2/12.
I included:
form
one check
copy of green card (front & back)
copies of '05, '06, & '07 taxes
copy of car registration in both names
credit card statement in both names
bank statement in both names
my life insurance policy with him as beneficiary
copy of plaque from team we co-coached (team picture and both our names)
recent wedding invitation addressed to both of us
I hope that's enough. I bought the house before we were engaged, so it's only in my name. To add him would be $800 (yikes). The utilities are also all in my name.

I haven't been posting much because I have carpal tunnel syndrome (I work on a PC) and am trying to heal. The doctor hasn't let me return to work yet -- I've basically been at home all of '06. I think about you guys and am happy to know baby Sean is doing well

I went off the pill 4 months ago and we are doing Natural Family Planning. It is so cool.
Anna, my ex-husband and I were quite impressed because we did NFP for over a year with no failure.
About a year after that, we discovered we were infertile. No wonder we were so good at it
On another note, I have an aunt/uncle whose last name is Wythem. They jokingly refer to their daughter (much younger than their sons) as Rhythm Wythem

Please let me know.Not yet. I try to not cook Italian for him too close to his trips to Italy. If he compares me to his mamma's cooking, he might be sick eating mine

We have a new puppy. My kids are so happy. I knowo there are so dog lovers here, so I'll post a photo later.
Giancarlo is in Italy visiting his parents now. His dad has his birthday on Sunday, so they're all happy to be together.

Thanks for the support, guys. I took some time off work to add him to the electric bill. They said our names were too long to fit in the name blank.
I have more recent versions of all the stuff I sent in before. I don't know how additional bank/credit card/auto insurance/cell phone/car/taxes will be more convincing now than a year ago.
I'm including family photos with notes such as: "notice how the kids are older here." "You can see her braces now." "I had red hair that winter." We don't live near my extended family, so most photos are just the immediate family (my kids from previous marriage). I've started taking one every day (date-stamped) and will include a sheet of them. In one, we're still in bed
Proof of my citizenship and previous divorce is easy. It does make me wonder... how could we have gotten this far if I wasn't a US citizen?
I got letters from several people I work with, some family members, and the neighbors. My 12-year-old even wrote a letter. It ended, "My stepdad has done enough #######. Just send him the green card."
