I feel so bad for you guys that got recalled petitions, I hope they get to yours quickly.

I think nobody is exactly sure how they are handling the recalled petitions (unfortunetly). I know there have been a few approvals of recalled petitions lately, and I think you are issued a new NOA2, and then sent back to the NVC, then the Consulate.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think that is what I read from someone who posted on here with a recalled petition.

My petition was recalled from US Embassy in Moscow and sent back to the states due to the IMBRA. Today they told me that they mailed me my RFE. Does anyone know what is going to happen after USCIS receives my RFE. Are they going to send it to the visa center again or not? It has already been once through the visa center before it was recalled. So should I expect my document to go directly back to the US Embassy in Moscow? Please advice. Thanks.

Can someone advise me on the best course of action because myself I don’t know what to do anymore.

My docs were sent to the US embassy in Moscow and returned back to the states due to the new law. I called the Vermont center but they cannot even tell me for sure where my petition is. I have not received an RFE yet and my case was last updated on 05/01/2006 and that is it. When I talked to the customer service and I asked her if I should reapply because maybe my docs were lost, then she said no, your docs are somewhere here. What kind of respond it is???????? What should I do? Reapply or continue waiting for my FRE. Please someone advice. Thanks a lot.

We still have not received an imbra RFE!! Is anyone else still waiting? I see others that have NOA dates after ours that have thiers already.....we are a bit concerned....and of course trying to maintain patience...

I still have not received mine. I have NOA1 - April 11. Last touch was 5/1/2006. No updates, no touches.

I have no idea what's going on with my case. I have not heard anything since they transfered my case to CSC. NO TOUCH ..NO RFE.

I did make a call to CSC. They only say not everyone will get RFE. That's all that they can say... Also contacted senator,they said they can not help anythinng,everything itself is in processing.

Seem like I am only one who has not gotton that RFE. I guess my file went in the bottom of the pile and just waiting for them to pull it out someday that they feel like to.

My wife is in 6 months pregnant. We want to have to baby born in the USA. But it's impossible now.

They dont know how they screw up our life.!!!! This is crazy !!!! ...

I still have not gotten my IMBRA RFI. My case has not been updated since May 1, 2006. I cannot get any info from them over the phone. I talked directly to Vermont. All they say is whenever we get to your application we will mail you an RFI. Call back in 30 days. I do not know what to do since I have my HOA1 dated April 11, 2006.

But they cannot even tell me for sure if my application is there or not. They just told me to wait.

You are one of many who had their petitions returned under the IMBRA law.

YOu need to fill in timeline to make things easier for us to help

Also did they tell you what date your package was received back at Vermont?

There are still people waiting on their IMBRA RFE. You should be getting one in a few days. Once that is returned and everything is okay, you should get your petition forwarded back to Moscow.

This is a real mess and alot of people have been caught up in it.

Thanks for the reply. No they did not tell me what date it was received. They were not able to tell me if it there or not. I said maybe it is lost. She said that oh no it is somehwhere here. Bustards.

At least you didn't get NOA2 and then recalled.

Yep, I got NOA2 as well and my paerwork went to Moscow then it was recalled.

My status has not been updated since 05/01/06 and I have not gotten my RFE yet. So I decided to call USCIS today again. I was told that I will be mailed RFE within 30 days. It is so frustrating. I am so angry at USCIS. I am afraid that I will not be able to bring my fiancé by January. Is anyone else in the same situation?

Of course, you will win. I sued and that is the only way I had to do in order to get my citizeship.

How much longer can you people drag this out? Thousands of people are stuck in limbo until a form is approved to comply with IMBRA. The bill was approved in January. The law went into effect in March. Why you could not have provided correct forms for people to use to file after March 6 in incomprehensible.

I would say defiantly go for it. If I were you I would put my picture on a front page and I would not be afraid. I am sick of USCIS. All they do is cause pain to people.

Recently I had to file a law suite against a director of FBI and a director of USCIS in order to get my citizenship. They did absolutely nothing for 2,5 years(My name check was sitting at FBI for over 2 years) and only my lawsuit forced them to give me my citizenship.

If I were you I would read this article before they publish it then I would agree to publish my pictures. There is nothing to be afraid of. Go for it. They will be nothing done for a long time unless we do something.

It affects everyone, regardless of how you met.

I agree the law was created to cut down on the Mail order bride issue. However everyone is effected, no matter how they met or whether the male or female is the USC. We all are going to have to give them permission for background check and answer the questions "Did we use a marriage broker? and Does the USC have a criminal conviction?" If you have to answer yes to either of those questions you are going to have to answer a lot of questions and I expect that your time line will lengthen accordingly.

I have a question. Please respond someone who knows about this new law. I am a Female (US Citizen) filed a petition for my fiancée (Male- Russian Citizen). Should this new law affect us anyhow? At the US Embassy in Moscow website I read that all the petitions that were wrongly approved were sent back to the US. As I understand this law intends to protect foreign women from being abused by American men. Is this law going to affect me? Are they going to check my background even I am a woman inviting a man??? Please help.

Do I need to send a translated birth certificate? It does not say anything about it in I-129F.

Tax returns are only required with the I-134 that you submit at interview if you are self employed.

They are not a part of the I-129F package.
