Well, I heard about the call second hand from my fiancée. From what I understood, they were asking questions about his character rather than angling for personal info. Does USCIS make those kinds of calls? Perhaps you're right that he mistook who was calling.

So, we've had no official word or contact since we received our NOA1 in early April, but about two weeks ago someone phoned my fiancée's workplace to ask some questions about him. Does this indicate that our case is finally being processed? Has anyone else noticed whether this comes soon before the NOA2? ...Or is this just wishful thinking on my part?

I'm tired of being oceans away from each other. T_T

Unfortunately, I didn't realize there was a difference before filing our application. I'm sure I know somebody on the west coast whose address I could have used..an aunt, cousin, somebody! Dammit, hindsight!

Hi all. We actually mailed our application in late February, but our NOA1 wasn't until March 19, so I guess that makes us March filers! Unfortunately, we've been relegated to Texas. So after reading the info here, I'm feeling a little down about the processing time we're facing...it's only been three months since I've seen my boy, and I'm already struggling. And I may not get to see him again until the end of the year? T_T
