  1. You guys I'm not sure what petition you are speaking of assuming you all have filed K1. i129f FIANCÉE. but K1 Visa petitions approved by USCIS have a four month validity period. several cases get put on AP and eventually expire. This is a known fact maybe you should be aware of so you are not in the same position. Maybe it's different for I130 spouse...

Lee- it was AP last time. At least that's what the status online said for 6 months after the interview and until Inwas told to refile.

  2. So I just re read last years letter and it is very differnt than the letter he got today. Last years said they were sending back to NVC , more of a denial , and this one does not say that...Now I'm really Thinking they are doing some additional background checks only and will ask for the passport. Staying hopeful

I did wait last time- and USCIS TOLD ME THE ONLY OPTION WAS TO RE FILE AND SUBMIT A NEW FEE WHICH I DID. AND HERE WE ARE AGAIN...

  3. I wrote to USCIS Today and forwarded a copy of the letter requesting to extend the expiration date. Will wait for their response next week. I'm hoping it's just additional background checks and they will call him to collect his passport.

I just want to know why they keep doing this. I have it in writing from USCIS to re apply and submit fee when it expired last time. Have no idea why some others have AP for 6-7 months and then get the visa. Each case is different I suppose.

  4. Last time the letter clearly stated 221g administrative processing. This one did not. Yes. I contacted local congress sentate even had a letter of recommendation from my local assemblyman.

I wish someone would tell me why they will not grant my fiancée the k1 visa.

  5. Today my fiancée had his K1 Visa interview at the embassy in New Delhi. This is the second go around.

The CO asked just a few questions did not ask for anything except my I134 and gave him a letter saying:

"Dear---- Please bear with us as your case undergoes necessary admin processing we will contact you when we are finished..." It said absolutely nothing about 221G processing

They did NOT keep his passport. Will they ask for it later if this gets approved ? Keep in mind USCIS will expire my petition 6/23/16. We have spend hundreds of dollars so far and absolutely no definitive answers or K1 visa approval

Has anyone experienced this and what does it mean?

I don't understand why they can't just say a simple yes or no. Why do the leave us hanging?

Thank you in advance for your help.

  6. Greetings all.

My K1 Visa Petition was finally approved after a two week delay because of an RFE... on 2/23/16 and sent off to NVC.

NVC received my APPROVED case on 3/16/16.

After numerous calls and status checks online saying "At NVC" I was first told there was a back log and if the case was not sent off by Monday (today) to call back and they would "look into it"

After numerous online checks over the weekend and again today- the case is still at NVC. Called back today. Spoke to a supervisor who said there must have been an error and the case says both duplicated and posted. She would look into it and this request could take up to 42 days.

This is my second petition for the same fiancee. The first one also expired after Admin Processing after his interview.

There is a clear case number attached to this so they can't be that incompetent to think this was a duplicate case? Or can they?

If it takes another 42 days from now for them to figure out their mistake, we will not be able to schedule his his interview in time. This petition has a four month validity and expires 6/23/16.

Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

  7. This is once again inappropriate behavior by a CO I mean facts are facts If you are not legally married they cannot say that you are and deny for that reason-- What were the pics? What else were they asking?

  8. Thanks. Well

That's more assuring. My first petition also at CSC took about 6 weeks NOA1 to NOA2 and that's consistent with the VJ stats now for CSC

Not surprised I would get incorrect information when calling USCIS. I've gotten countless inaccuracies over the past year when dealing with them. The first phone attendant I spoke to today did not know what an NOA 2 is!

    All the best to you.

  9. Just wanted to reach out and see if anyone had any comments as to what the outcome for K1 Visa Filers will be after this weeks events.

The woman who committed the horrible MURDERS came here on a K1 Visa. I'm sure the CO took extra consideration as to her age, and being of the correct child bearing years, cultural match and for sure her fiancee had the intent to marry her. I'm sure each and every one of their family members knew and supported this engagement when they took her cell phone at the embassy, or she probably didnt even carry one, The smart ones know how not to get caught in this system and get in evey time. So the intnetion was to get married .as well as buy WEAPONS together in this country, The USA Sold this woman a GUN several guns! to kill innocent people. Innocent US Citizens, Way to go CO. just got real...And I cannot think of a better example of how incompetent these CO's are. And the whole system. This may put a freeze on K1 Visas all together,,,for us innocent people who want to marry our loved ones. Wondering how everyone is feeling about this. I would hope as angry as I am.

    Thanks for reading.

  10. Change of topic- the lady who committed that awful act of violence yesterday in san Bernadino was brought here on a K1 visa. I'm sure the consular officer never questioned her age, fertility, and because she was of the same race and culture culture of her fiancé, a US male

Citizen she got here without a problem.

I pray the consular officer gets fired.

Incompetence all around. That's more horrifying than anything.
