My Canadien girlfriend entered US with B2 visa that expired January 2014. We consulted with immigration attorney in Montana who said to go ahead and get married which we did in March 2014. We sent a retainer of 1500.00 and another 1600.00 to file the paperwork. My wife completed a medical exam, vaccinations. Letters from community members supporting her position. The paperwork has never been filed because I had to have back taxes filed 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013. Started that process last Seprember almost done. The attorney now wants another 500.00 because of the delay in getting the taxes done. Did I waste my money or were two years of taxes needed?
