Did you confirm with RCMP that they mailed it out.

My experience with RCMP is that they drag their feet... Canada Post, doesn't usually lose mail, but they often are very late in delivering (especially if the Canadian address is remote). Your first document that was apparently sent on June 3rd may still arrive. Good that you have a second document on the way as well as a back up.

I think you will receive these documents, it will just take a while.

Hi! The first address is in Hamilton, so that is not really remote... The agency who I hired, said that most likely the case is that they lost it, because some other of their customer's experience is that they received the mail within a week. My second submission was on the 22nd June, I sent them a request today to confirm they mailed it, but I think they did, since the last one took them a week to mail, and this was was technically ready lol

Do you think the first one can still arrive...? Do you have an experience with them? So there is really no other way to get this letter? I even go there in perso (from Hungary) or send a Fedex courier if I knew where they are... That is how desperate I am :(

I am thinking that I will put a waiver request letter at this point, because we are waiting for it so long (we submitted the whole IR-1 last year) and it really takes a toll on us...

Thanks for your fast answer though!

  2. Hi Everyone, sorry if this is not the right forum to ask this question. So what happened was that I applied for an IR-1, had my interview (in Hungary), but because I lived in Canada in the past 5 years, I had to obtain a Canadian Police Certificate from RCMP (NVC accepted our explanation at the time that we were unable to get it from a Canadian Authority, because of COVID etc). Anyway, at the interview, the consular said I need some sort of an official form, so I applied for it at RCMP. They have it mailed to a Canadian address on 3rd June. Guess what...It never arrived to the address, so Canada Post obviously lost it. I had to apply for it again, now I try another Canadian address... RCMP says there is no other way for me to get this certificate.

Does anyone else has the same issue? What if Canada Post keep losing this very important document which is the ONLY thing I need for my visa? I would greatly appreciate if someone has an idea how the #&@ I can get this letter?? Thanks everybody!!

  3. Hello guys, my interview is going to be on the 28th March and I would like to ask who already had theirs about the I-693 medical form.

Did you went to a civil surgeon to do that transfer thing about vaccination? Did you take physical, too? I already did the full medical+vaccination in my home country, I have a proof about vaccination, however the sealed envelope with my full medical details in it, was taken by the officer at the border when I arrived. I have read a few posts about this and I think I shouldn't redo the physical, but I am still confused: how should I prove at the interview that I took my medicals back home? It's very likely that they have my records (I haven't got any RFEs about medicals when I applied for the green card), but still... What if they lost it or something? It's USCIS...

Thanks in advance for any responses!

  4. Hi everyone, I just got the notification from USCIS that my EAD card was being mailed on the 17th:)))) Should be here today or Monday... I have read some old post about USPS tracking numbers, is there anyone who got a tracking number? How should I get it? Based on my prev experience, it is totally worthless if I call USCIS:D

    Thanks for the responses!

  5. Hey! Congrats!! May I ask how you filed both service request? It seems like you waited 10 days before sending the second one?

Our NOA is November 25 and i called and submitted a service request last monday (Day 76) and I got an email the next day saying they're reviewing it and they will notify shortly...We still haven't got anything and the online case status tracker still shows "ON November 25, they received our application for I-765...)

The processing time on the vj says they're up to November 28 and it feels like it's taking forever to be able to work!!!

Hi there! Well it seems it is unnecessary to answer to yr questions, because your card is being produced, CONGRATS!:) Basically the same happened to me, sent the another service request (75 day from NOA1, not the filling date), maybe that made the difference... Next day, last Friday, I have got a notice that my card is being produced, and oh, today another update that my case is approved. I said to myself REALLY?:)) USCIS is still a mess, but who cares when you got to know that your EAD is approved, right?:) Good luck for the upcoming interview you may have and wish you find a dream job!

  6. Nola, I'm in a similar situation. Filed my AOS on November 2nd, got an RFE (for Initial Evidence) November 27th as stated on the USCIS case tracker. Submitted the RFE in December and USPS confirmed delivery on December 26th. Since then, nothing other than my EAD/ AP getting approved in January. For my I-485, it still states that an RFE was sent on November 27th and hasn't been updated since. Like you, I worry whether the form has actually got to the right department. I tried calling USCIS and the lady I spoke with said she didn't have access to that information and said I should make an infopass appointment if I was worried. I tried sending a USCIS Service Request online, but that just comes back as "case is within normal processing times".

It would be nice to know that they had actually received the RFE so that I can know that something was actually happening with my case.

Hello! Have you tried to ask a TIER 2 officer when you called them? Maybe him/her can tell you something about your status. As far as I know, they can have access to the cases, not just read what they see in the system. In my opinion, it is important to know where is your RFE, however it can be a failure of the system. Good luck!

  7. Isn't it strange that since the 3rd feb there are no approvals reported? Unless people haven't put their data in when got the approval.... Plus, has everyone seen the tab on this site about "processing times" that says that filed on "20th Nov they are currently processing"? Where the hell do they get that data from? Confusing...

Yeah, that's what I've noticed, too! The processing time (from 18th to 20th Nov) changed in the last few days, however no one has updated their timeline since the 3rd...

  8. Beccajayne,

That must be very frustrating that you have not even received your bio-metrics to this point!!

Hopefully, you will hear some good news sometime next week.

I am around the same timeline as yourself and was on a visitors visa, maybe the K-1 process is the quicker process but who knows!?

I received a message saying 'i was assigned an officer today', so maybe next week I will hear more about my EAD request.

Yeah, it is so annoying that the SR can help for some people and for others it can't... I am also waiting for some answers, we also called them today, but I don't think it helped:(

    Keep it up for everyone

  9. Has anyone had experience in waiting more than 7 days after their expedition request was marked as "completed"?

I have sent a normal service request on Monday, since Tuesday ("our request was sent to an officer to response"), nothing has happened. Today, we called them and they suggested to make an expedite request, so that's what we gonna do. But it seems in some cases it doesn't mean anything. Have you tried to call them and ask a TIER 2 officer and ask an update?

This is just my experience, but a TIER 1 officer is usually much more nicer, than a TIER 2 <_<:)

  10. Hi guys,

I have a question. So I mailed out my package on 11/26/2015 and received receipt of notice on 12/2/2015. I had my biometrics taken on 12/28/2015. The thing is I did not include I-864 along with my application, now I have it ready and waiting for RFE to submit it through. I notice that a lot of people receive their RFE on a day or one day after their biometrics. It's been more than 30 days since biometrics and nothing has changed on my case status. I wonder what I should do.

Hm, it's strange indeed. I suggest you to call USCIS and tell them your situation. Maybe they will have you a useful answer or just you make them to check your case and pay attention.

    Good luck!

  11. I have a quick question and I hope someone knows the answer to it.

When you raise a Service request online (for the 75th day), does the system gives you automatically a Reference number, or do you receive at all a reference number? Or does that happen only when you call and raise it with a customer service person on the phone?

    Thank you in advance

It should give you automatically. If you have an account on the USCIS page, you can check it out immediately online. If you gave them your email address when you made the service request, the system automatically send a confirmation mail about that.

  12. Sorry wat i meant is i cant apply for work because the validity is not this year.

This is their mistake, it is obvious. Call them immediately, put a service request in the below link (I think this can be qualified as a typo error):

    https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayTypoForm.do?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=typoError

Whatever it takes them to correct it ASAP. Even I think you can get an infopoint appointment. I am in Atlanta and last time when we called USCIS they said that ATL office is processing LAST JULY AOS files... But it doesn't matter if you have yr EAD, you're able to work.

  13. Yeah, annoyingly, I was told that it wouldn't affect them processing my EAD. When I think about it, considering the EAD is applied for on the basis on an accompanying Adjustment application, I guess it makes sense that it would delay it too.

Well, this is not necessary truth. I read somewhere here, in one of the subforums that there are two kinds of RFE: Request for INITIAL evidence and request for ADDITIONAL evidence. If you were asked for an additional evidence, after USCIS get your response, they will CONTINUE processing your case, meaning for example they sent you the RFE on the 10th day, after the requested evidence, they will continue it as on the 11th day. In case of INITIAL evidence, they stop working on your case and RESTART working on it after they got the requested evidence from day zero. And as a plus, EAD is processed in the National Benefits Center, AOS is most likely transferred to a local office.

Hope it is true:) I have sent a service request yesterday was my 75th day since EAD/AOS/AP was filed. I have got a response today that was assigned to an officer for response. As far as I know, if my case has been within the 75 days, the system would have automatically sent me a message that my case is within the standard processing time. Or I'm gonna get a very bad news soon from an officer..:(

    Let's hope for the best!

  14. Thanks, also, I've noticed some were approved without an interview. I was under impression an interview was the norm prior to approving your GC. So an interview is not necessary in some cases?

As far as I know, you can be a lucky one who waives the GC interview if you are a K-1 visa holder. I really don't know what is the terminology of this, based on my experiences with USCIS, it is just simply the furtune...

BTW today is my 75th day, so I will put a service request soon at the USCIS webpage:) Let's see how it goes...
