My dad is my joint sponsor for my Chilean husband given that I am currently employed outside of the US and can´t show future income in the US. He files jointly with my mom, can someone tell me if I need to put their joint income as total income for questions 13a. or if I can just use his individual income? Either way it meets the poverty guideline.

I have a question regarding form DS-260. My Chilean husband and I (I am American) are filling out form DS-260 for his Spouse visa. In the section where they ask about his family they ask about his spouse and whether or not his spouse will be immigrating to the US. Given that I am an American, it is not considered immigrating, so we should mark no, is that correct?

Is your spouse immigrating to the U.S. with you?

Yes No

Is your spouse immigrating to the U.S. at a later date to join you?

Yes No

I need help/advice! The USCIS sent my approved petition to the NVC on February 26, more than 45 business days ago! I have not heard anything and when calling for the last two weeks I cannot get through due to the high call volume. I have emailed nvcinquiry and nvcresearch various times with no response. Any tips on what else I can do?

Is anyone else experiencing such a long wait time?

I called twice and miraculously got through and they told me to send an email to nvcresearch which I have three times now. Still nothing and now I can´t get anyone to answer the phone. Any tips/advice?

Hi! I am preparing the information I will need to send the NVC once they recieve my case from USCIS (which they sent 6 weeks ago). I know I have to show my income and tax returns from the last three years but I did not file taxes in 2011 and 2012 due to the fact that I was studying and made below the minimum required to file. Will this hold my process up if I have not filed?
