Hello everyone! I had my interview yesterday in London. My anxiety of the interview itself was proved to be not worth it all. The lady CO was very nice and I was only asked 5 questions after having my fingersprints taken and the oath. She then stated I am happy to say that I will aprrove your visa etc etc. it will take about 3-4weeks for you to receive it by courier. But don't book anything yet as with the backlog, it's better for you to have your visa on hand as I am not exactly sure how long it will take really. Or words to that effect...
Goodluck to everyone still waiting for theirs.

Wbeem, why does it say check ds-260 status? I had filled in the ds-160 form

I'm having a hard time at registering. I've used my ipad and netbook to put in details but the cursor isn't going into the surname or confirm even box. . I guess I'd have to use some one else's computer to do this.

My new ESTA authorization has been approved. I've been to the USA more than 10x since we've been together and I usually stay like for only 2-3 weeks and never overstay.

Thanks Pheebs!! It's bad enough that I worry about him, then there's the exorbitant airfare and the threat of being rejected by the custom official. Waaahhh!!!

Hello! I'm on the k-1 visa and anticipating the interview on june 17 here in London. My fiance just had undergone surgery and he still is in the hospital. I'd want to be with him at this time as I am worried about him. I have been using the ESTA previously but it now expired. I literally made a new application for ESTA. Would it be risky to travel at this time? I plan on only staying a week as I am on annual leave until the 3rd of june. I really want to see him and I am itching to book a return ticket like right now!!

The docs that was was by my fiance was supposedly delivered by UPS last Mon. I didn't receive it at all!! We rang UPS stateside and here but they are still investigating. Imagine the stress we are undergoing right now. He is sending me copies at this time but i'll just explain it to the CO if in case. Good thing I haven't got an interview date yet. I had my medical done today, hope everything will turn out fine...
-
Thanks Pilot for the info. Yeah, I kinda gathered that it wasn't really applicable for myself. I just hope that they won't ask me to provide such a document when I do attend the interview.
Goodluck to all of us!

Thank you! Thank you for shedding light to my otherwise fried brain cells lol! Will take into consideration your latest suggestion. . Hopefully all will be well with my medical exam next week, then I can't wait for the interview. Crossing my fingers that it won't take more than a month before I get a sched for the interview. ✌️

When I rang the local register's office about the Cert Of No Impediment, they do process that document but she wasn't too sure if it applies to getting married in USA. The person I spoke to stated that the CoNI is applicable to marriage in EU and outside UK. So I was trying to ring the US embassy for any info, but wasn't successful in doing so. As no one else here in UK has obtained such a doc, and were approved for their K-1 visas, I guess it's not needed after all.
I guess I was just overly cautious in getting all docs ready as I don't want to have further delays or even a rejected visa application...

Opps!! I meant I'm NOT submitting any docs to NVC. Thank you so much for the clarification Nick-nick!! ?
-
Yes!! It's that highlighted after Nov 2014 that gets me!! So i still have to submit copies of the docs...
-
I can't get access to the link you posted re: K1 visa . Actually. I wasn't to sure avout sending docs to NVCbut here's the requirement checklist based on the website of the USembassy in London
Gosh!!! It is so very confusing!!!!! ????????

Pardon me! Yes, we have filed the i-129 last January. I have received a letter from the immigration visa unit in london stating my LND number. I am just waiting for the docs my fiance had sent through the post for me to send copies of the documents to the NVC (as stated in the website as we had filed after Nov 2014.) Done the D-160 online and will be going to the Medical on the 23rd of this month.
I have never been married either here or in the Philippines ( BritCit by naturalization) I even got a cenomar from the Phils. And maybe it's the information overload from reading from the numerous threads that I got the idea of the Cert of No Impediment.

You are going to have to explain your situation better because K1s do not submit documents to NVC. Since you have no timeline--
Are you married? Single?
Have you started any part of the process yet? I-129F petition for a fiancé submitted? When?
any petition approved yet?

Hello to everyone!! I am getting all my docs ready for filing to the NVC, I'm currently residing here in England. Our application is for the K-1 visa, but did any of you obtain a "Certificate of No Impediement" as proof of being legally able to marry your US fiance? Is this really a document necessary for submission or for the interview itself? Please enlighten me as when I spoke to the Local Register's office, they stated it would take a month before they could issue it. Thanks!
Renewing UK passport whilst in the US

Good day everyone!! VS was such a big help in my journey towards joining my then fiance now my husband in the states. :?
As we are now approaching our 1st year wedding anniversary, my husband is planning to book a cruise in September. I just looked at my passport and it will expire in January!! Am I right that there should be a 6 month validity period for me to travel outside the country? I was looking online and it said on the uk.gov website that my passport needs to be sent to Uk for it to be renewed..whoa!! It will take ages for sure!!
Can I not post it to a consulate nearest to us here in California so that I can get it in time?? Can someone please send me a link to help me with this dilemma.
Please help!! I was so looking forward to this trip and now I am stressing about it. ?
