  1. Hi all- a quick question. We've just scheduled our medical exam for next Friday (May 29th), having been told that the NVC sent our papers to the Embassy this past Monday. The confirmation email for the appointment states the usual items to bring (police certificate, photos, ID, vaccination records, questionnaire) AND "A Letter/Email from the embassy with your case number and the visa catergory confirmed."

We still haven't gotten our hardcopy NOA2 (electronic approval April 30) and obviously haven't received packet 3 from the Embassy yet, but we do have our hardcopy NOA1 and our case number, which we confirmed multiple times with the NVC. Has anyone ever had Knightsbridge Doctors ask for a letter/email from the embassy with the case number and visa category? Or is telling them the # and category enough?

    Thanks!

  2. Hi all - We just received our NOA 2 for the K1 a week ago, and have a question for the future - all documents needed for the medical appointment and interview are in our hands already. What we're concerned with is when to send in our readiness forms/schedule the medical, given that:

    - My fiance beneficiary will be out of the UK on a work trip from June 25-July 1st.

    - And has a possible work trip outside the UK sometime around the last week of July.

He will obviously need his passport, and be unable to attend an interview during this time. We hoped to have him over in the USA by mid-late August, and had hoped to have the interview sometime in that early July period.

I've read about individuals who were able to hold onto their passports and send them back into the embassy to have the visa put in them after they returned (if their interview was right before a trip), but is there any way to ensure that an interview will not be scheduled during a week when one is without a doubt going to be away from the UK?
