She already attended the seminar before and got her Guidance and Counseling Certificate.. all I want to know if she need to set up an appointment or just go up there and get it as a walk in. Thank u

Yes, Newark is her POE. They might ask her why her address the first night is not your address. I doubt they'll look so deeply at her case but she should be prepared just in case.

She might stay there only for 3 days I want her to visit her who's 7months pregnant now and I also booked her flight back here in texas...

just make sure newark has a good waiting time before she catches her next flights

Just be patience for sure the embassy is still reviewing it. My wife sent her singapore police cert. And my I-864A last march 29

March 30, the embassy manila received it

April 1, case updated but still in AP

April 6 and April 13, I called the embassy in manila to ask for any update for the case of my wife by still on AP

April 18, in the morning philippine time my wife checked the status if her case is still on AP and yes it was.

April 18, in the afternoon Philippine. Time she checked it again and she was shocked and it changed to ISSUED..

Ur visa status will change pretty soon.. just pray

my wife visa just issued yesterday. I just want to know ur opinion regarding this matter. my wife plan to visit her friend whos pregnant right now in florida and will stay there for 3 days before going dowm here in texas. my question is there will be any problem at the POE for her for visting her friend there? and once she leave florida and fly here in texas there will be any problem to the immigration? thank u.

sorry to hear that.. but if u cant comply to their request about the clearance like I said the process of ur visa it be stuck in there.. try to email the police force in Dubai.

1 week and 3 days since you sent the 221g documents or since they received? We sent our documents on the 11th of April on a Friday and we just got our visa so you are still a bit early I think. The embassy received the documents on the on Monday the 14th but I do think it takes a day or maybe more for the documents to even get to the consulate section from the shipping and receiving areas at the embassy.

march 29, my wife sent it out and march 30, received by the embassy thru 2go tracker, and I called last Monday if they receive the package and the operatot told me it was received and still reviewing and be patience.. I hope everything will be fine, the embassy just ask for my I-864A with original sign same with my father and my wife singapore police cetificate..

it will be stuck in there.. u need to get that as soon as posible to continue the process of ur visa.. my wife went to singapore personally to get her clerance there.. but u can ask someone if they can able to apply it for u and if they need a formal request letter from the embassy to get the clearance..

Because it has only been a few days for you and nothing happens over the weekends. You should see a status update though when they actually receive the updates. The consulate section I mean. I do not think it should be much longer for you though.

just wondering I check the status at ceac site why it still on AP..

We are picking up right in Manila so I heard 1 to 2 days. I would love to do it this week.

I am tripping out on this! I have checked that status site so many times than when it said ready it did not register in my brain right away.. I was seeing the word ready with my eyes but my mind was saying nope, just ap again. Then it hit me.. Holy #### Ready!! I refresh the page 5 minutes later and Issued!

Thanks to everyone here that helped out.

Here are a few notes that may help people that have direct filed in Manila.

#1 - Affidavits help. Have them signed, dated and include a copy of their drivers license or id. This serves as pretty good evidence that the person in the affidavit actually wrote it.

#2 - If you are in doubt on whether or not to fill out I864A then do it. If they do not need it they just will not keep it when your at the interview. If they need it you will have it. If you are using a co sponsor and living with them and they are filing taxes jointly you may need an I864A from both people. We did.

#3 - If you have been in the Philippines long enough to file direct at the embassy(Over 6 months) then you are going to have to prove you still have residence in the USA. I did this with affidavits, letters and bills to my address and my car registration.

Oh well, it has been a long road for us. We filed our petition in November. if you use Google be sure to check your trash and spam box. All the emails I ever got from the embassy always went into the inbox but the one with our case number went into the spam folder and never synced onto my phone. When I called numerous times they never told me that we were all set or gave me a case number until the last time someone finally told me your case number has been sent already. I had him resend to another address and I got it that day. Keep an eye out for that because we wasted over a month on that..

We received a checklist from NVC for one. You need a letter from the Manila Embassy which you can get on the Department of State website. You use this in conjunction with the NVC letter. My wife's took about 21 days, but it was done in person. She sent the fingerprints to her old boss and she dropped them off. See their website for details.

This site gives detailed information. Order it early, I don't know how long Singapore takes but my fiance and I ordered one from Canada. According to the company we were using it was supposed to take 5-10 days and ours took 2 months.
