  1. Hello,

Even though I don't post,I follow and read you everyday.

I sent my documents on March 26,2018;Uscis received them on April 3,2018.They sent me the 12 months extension letter and The 18 months extension letter after. In may 2018,they sent me a letter that the Bio has been waived.Since May 2018, I didn't have any news from them until last monday.

I received a mail for my biometric appointment on Monday 17,2019 ,after opening the mail,I noticed that the date of my appointment was on June 10(I missed my appointment because I received the letter(notice) late):I was so mad.I tried to make an infopass online but our local uscis doesn't accept walk in and even infopass.I decided to walk in on Tuesday 18,2019 any way.I walked in on Tuesday at 8 Am and I explained that I received the mail the day before. The lady and all the staff were so nice; They received me as  a walk in.Apparently ,the problem was coming from the USCIS;I was not the only person who missed the appointment that day.I did my biometric and I went home.On June 19,2019 my status changed to your fingerprints have been reviewed.

Today after checking my status this is what I read: NEW CARD IS BEING PRODUCED ON JUNE 20,2019.

I wish you all the best. MY receipt number is WAC1813××××.

  2. you are good to work :-) the note on it doesn't do anything bad, I have had mine foreverrrrrr (got my first SSN in 2006, and updated it to reflect my name change in November 2015. That was before I even applied for AOS, so of course it came with the same notation on it). I guess now that I am an LPR I could go and update again, but I haven't yet.

basically the EAD is your work authorization that you need :-)

    Thanks so muchhhh Mena28
  3. hi, from every indication it appears u got ur green card before u got ur SSN right?because normally if u are not us citizen or a LPR ur SSN will carry the notation valid for work only with DHS Authorization, but when u become a LPR, u have the option of applying to the SSA for a change of status and a new card will be issued without any notation on it, so I suggest u go apply and let them know why u are applying for a new SS card. unless its different in your state because different states have different laws I got my SSN a week after I got here and everything was pretty much easy.goodluck

I got my combo card EAD/AP.I am still waiting my green card.

When I came here one month after we went to the social security office and they told us to come back when I will have my EAD.after receiving my EAD on macrch 16, we applied for my SSN on march 17 and I received my SSN yesterday with the mention valid for work only with DHS authorization.

  4. It says supplement, so I'm pretty sure you just need them to transcribe your vaccination records (assuming you're up to date with them all), and it sealed and signed by them. you should call around for pricing, you do not need the full medical exam.

Edit: Old subject, but here's one about Civil surgeons in New Orleans

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/393601-civil-surgeon-for-vaccination-transcription-new-orleans-louisiana/

I sent them my Ds 3025 form with all my vaccines. In my form Ds 3025 in the varicella case they put yes in the case of vaccine and the sign D(which means not routinely available.so is it the transcrition or the varicella vaccine?
  5. Hello vj family

    I just received a RFE.

    They ask me:

-2 color photographs of the petitioner (my husband)

    - and a supplement form I-693(immunizations) performed by a doctor on the list of uscis authorized physicians. (Please return results for missing varicella vaccination in a sealed envelope].

I sent my form Ds 3025 with all my vaccines: in the case of varicella ,the doctor said yes with the sign D but without date (D means not routinely available).

    Now what should I do?

We just call an authorized center by uscis they said that it is 300 $(without the vaccine fees).and after that we need to go in a pharmacy to do the vaccine with the prescription of the doctor.

Do I need to do the physical again?

Please can you help me .thks in advance

  6. Hello all,

  7. Hi everyone :) I have been a lurker here for the last few months here and haven't gotten any updates from USCIS about my AOS/EAD/AP application....until today. Got this message when I checked the status of my I-485 application via the USCIS website:

    Card Was Mailed To Me

On March 15, 2016, we mailed your new card for Receipt Number XXXXXXXXXXX, to the address you gave us. If you do not receive your card by April 14, 2016, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request that we send your new card to you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Does this mean my AOS/green card application was approved? I'm just confused because I always thought the EAD/AP application or card gets processed first. My EAD and AP application have no updates yet since Jan 4. I haven't received any RFEs or Interview notices, either.

Thank you for any thoughts you can share about my stuation, and congratulations to everyone who are done with the process! :)

Congrats.yes your green card has been approved.you will receive your card very soon in your mail.you don't need EAD and Ap anymore.

The EAD and Ap are temporaly the time for your green card to be available.since they approved your green card you don't need EAD and AP anymore.am I right Vj family?

  8. Hello every one!

It's true that I don't write a lot in this page but I read you everyday.I am very happy for all the approvals.

I filed my AOS on december 21 and I received my Noa1 on january 6.these last days I was already tired to wait because every time that I was checking my status it was the same thing: No update.I just gave up.this evening I decided to check.my I- 485 no update at all.but my EAD and Advance parole were approved on march 10.I am happy.

  9. I think you can. We are kinda trying the same thing. I was thinking that we could change my husband's name after marriage since he has no last name and I would take that last name too.

What we found out is that he can only take my last name. So we are going to try to put his middle name like we wanted and hope that goes through.

You can definitely just put your husband's last name as your last name, but I don't know if you can put his first name as your last name. But if you want to keep your two first names and make one your middle with your husband's last name, you should be good.

Does that help or did I misunderstand?

    You didn't understand me.

I said I have two last name and two first name and no middle name.

I want to take the name of my husband.so my husband last name will be my last name.now I want to put one of my last name as my middle name and dropp one,and keep my two first name.it is possible?

  10. One question please.so if you have two surname (last name) and two given name (first name).and you want to keep all your name and add your husband name.can I put my husband name as my last name,my two surname as my middle name and my two given name as mu first name?

Or canI dropp one of my last name and keep one as my middle name when filling AOS form?

What is the best way ?thks

  11. Do you mean BBBB is your mother's maiden name that's why you write it as your middle name right ?

    .

Well in my case, i don't used my mom's anymore. For example:

Lisa May ( your Name) Santos ( your Middle Name/your Mom's maiden name) Chen (your Surname)

    In I-485:

Lisa May (NAME) Chen (MIDDLE NAME) Stephen (SURNAME/your husband's surname)

    Well that's what I do...hope it helps you ?

No BBBB is not my mother name

In my passport and visa I have 2 surname:AAAA BBBB and two given name: CCCC DDDD.Does it mean that normally I don't have a middle name?

  12. AOS name

    Hello everyone.

In my passport, visa and I 94 this is the display of my names :

    Surname:AAAA (my father name) BBBB

Given name:CCCC DDDD (both of them first name).

For the k-1 petition in all the forms I write BBBB as my middle name.

My question is: what is the meaning of surname here in US?Should I use all my two surname as last name in the marriage lincense?orjust the AAAA ( father name)

In all the AOS forms should I replace all my surname (AAAA BBB) by my husband last name or should I just replace my father name (AAAA) by my husband name?

    Please help

  13. Hello.please I have the same issue with names.

On my passport;visa and I 94 .this is the display of my name for example:

Surname:yota nya(yota is my father name)

    Given name:nina ela

Please surname means last name ? And given name means first name?

If yes,in all the AOS forms canI put my two surnames as middle name,my two given name as first name and my futur husband name as last

    name.

In all the document that I sent for the k-1 petition ,I used:

    Yota:last name

    Nya: middle name

    Nina ela: first name.

So now I am a little bit confused.
