  1. hello everyone

My case is to sponsor my parents to the U.S. My parents used to have green card, but they can't maintain to stay in the U.S. as much as possible. They lost their green card due to staying outside of the U.S. too long (more than 2 years). Now i sponsor them again to come to the U.S because i'm planning to be pregnant and have babies, then i need their help.

My problem and concern is that my 2013 and 2014 income is super low about less than $11,000 or $7,000 respectively each year. My current income for 2015 is $32,500. Im married. Thus, There is only the latest income is suitable for income requirement as it should be $30,225 if my household size is 4 persons (Me, my husband, father, and my mother).

I may wonder if my current income situation satisfy the requirement or not? If not i supposed to ask for co-sponsor.

Please help explain if someone has same case?

  2. It basically states there was an error when they reviewed your form i864 Affidavit of Support. They are referring to the proof of employment. Your next step which I suggest, is sending the needed information as soon as possible, for example like i mentioned before a copy of your contractor license and or a letter verifying employment. You need to send this along with the bar code sheet you received with the checklist letter. Once you have everything submit it to the NVC.

Thanks, appreciate...But i still have a problem which confused me a lot....

The letter NVC sent to me also says:

    "------Australia Police Certificate--------

    Police Certificate-All Australia

    Available

Fees: Refer to the Australian Federal Police (AFP) website for the current fee

    Document name: National Police Certificate

    Issuing Authority: Australian Federal Police

Procedure for Obtaining: Follow instructions on the Australian Federal Police (AFP) website

national Police Certificate based on fingerprints are preferred, but a certificate not based on fingerprints is acceptable if it shows all aliases ever used. When applying for the certificate, indicate that it is " for immigration purpose" and must be "full disclosure"

Applicants who are required to provide an Australian police Certificate should present it at the time of interview or request that it be sent directly to the Consulate where they will apply.

Police certificate are valid for 12 months from the date of issue"

---> As i understand that applicant should bring this certificate with him in the date of interview. But do i have to submit this police certificate to the NVC now? If i have to submit police certificate this time, do i have to submit the copy or the original version to the NVC?. Will the Australia police department provide us with 2 versions? (Copy certified and the original version?)

  3. hi all

Please look at the photo below. It's the exact what i received from NVC after submitting all my documents to them for 30 days. I was confused with their requirement.

1/ What they want me to do with first line ?

    "[x] I-864, Affidavit of Support Checklist "

--> Do they want me to submit another I-864? or correct something ? or to include another checklist cover sheet for additional documents that i gonna submit this time?

2/ Final line in the picture:

"[x] You must submit the following financial evidence:

[x] Proof of current employment (examples: a recently dated job letter , pay stub, or a copy of your business license)"

--> I'm an independent contractor. I've been working with one service provider for almost a year. Previously, i worked for many providers. I file tax with form 1040 (including Schedule C). I have a license to operate my job (it's a requirement in this field). Thus, i may wonder if i have to submit all paycheck copy (i deposit cheque to bank all) from bank account, and copy of my license. I don't know if i should ask for an employment verification from my service provider (who in cooperate with me to work on final users- clients)--> They provide me with place so that i could provide my own service to end-users with my own tools.

  4. Hi all

My husband went to the Australia for studying about more than 1 year. He came back to Viet Nam later on. I started sending my supporting documents to NVC. After reviews, they ask me to send them his police certificate while he was in the Australia even though he was only present there under student visa.

Will this be right or wrong? since i heard that if one visited somewhere outside his or her country more than one year under visa of fiance or immigration, he or she is supposed to provide with the police certificate to prove these period of time. For my husband case, he came as student visa for school purpose only.

    Anyone has any idea?

  5. i submitted all documents necessary to NVC in April, 2015. They took 1 month and replied me with requirement for adjustment as following

"Please review the instruction below then refer ot the final page of this checklist for mailing instruction

[x] I864, Affidavit of Support Checklist

    -

    -

    -

    -

    -

    -

[x] you must submit the following financial evidence:

[x] Proof of current employment (examples: a recently dated job letter, pay stub, or a copy of your business license)

I don't understand what they want me to do with I864, Affidavit of Support Checklist? I admitted that i forgot to send my current paycheck/paystub to them since my income is not enough to sponsor, but i did submit enough evidence from my co-sponsor.

    Please if somebody can help?

  6. I may also have another question concerning of sponsoring my parents. My parents and i were sponsored by my grandparents 5 years ago. My parents came with me to the U.S. My parents made so many trips back to my original country (Viet Nam), and they made one of the trips that lasted more than 6 months without applying for a reentry permit. They came back to the U.S with their medical documents showing that they had trouble with their health which made them staying more than 6 months and not coming back the U.S sooner. The officer at the border still let them in but with warning that they may not make the second time like this. Unfortunately, they had trouble with life in the U.S. again, and they wanted to come back to my original country (VN) for a short time (less than 6 months), however, finally they came back VN without return to the U.S. on time. Thus, they may lose their eligibility as permanent resident already even though they still keep their green card which has not yet expired.

My question is that Could I sponsor them again after i get citizenship certificate? and of course i could prove that i had a job with enough finance to take care of them in the U.S. because i hadn't had enough finance with my previous jobs to help them with finance. Thus, they may be well with my sponsor. Is that possible?

  7. Dear

I've sent all my support documents necessary for my case sponsoring my husband. Unfortunately, i recently have to move to new place. This is what i never expect and don't want to. It takes 60 days for NVC processing my case. I sent out all documents in the 6th April. I just wonder it'll be better to require an adjustment while my case is still processing at NVC or should i wait till the interview to make any adjustment?

(This new address would be the one my husband receive green cards and social security number card. It's very important to us, Please help!!)
