We finally got her SS and ID...

Hello!

My Fiancee and I alrrady got our marriage license, but we have not set up a date... We have been in the U.S for a month already and her K-1 isa has 90 days expiration.

Based on others experience, please I would like to know how much time do we have to get married and send for her adjusment of status...

I mean do you know how long to get a certified marriage certificate, how many days before her expiration do we need to submit papers... we dont want to rush but we want her have her stuff soon.

I took her passport with visa in it, i took a copy of her electronic I-94 and nothing they just gave a paper saying they needed verification from Immigration and that the process may take up to 90 days... I have a reference number but when i called SS they say they couldnt help with that number...

I want to share my bad experience so it dors not happen to you, then if somebody knows what else it can be done please help.

After a week of arriving to U.S we went to get my fiancee's SS card... Big mistake I should have waited a bit longer. The lady kept us waiting for a long time nd they she came in and gave us a paper saying they need to ask immigration if she was allowed to have an SS card and that the procesa was going to take up to 90 days. I asked if we could wait until her name showed in the system and she said no, that it didnt matter and that there was no other way. It has been two weeks and I called SS and her name doesnt even show in SS records. The lady on the phone told me to keep waiting.

This is very frustrating because we want to get her a Florida Id and we are getting married soon...

My mom was getting a new SS card at the same time as we did and she over heard the lady making jokes because we were same sex couple.

I dont know what else to do...

My mistake was not waiting two weeks i guess
