We already have the NoA2. We got approved July 22. They say you have to wait fr packet 3? Both of us still don't have the letter from NVC so we're wondering if we need to call now or still wait to get our MNL case number

You don't have to wait for packet 3. We still have not received packet 3 and the interview is already done. Get your receipt number (the number with MNL at the beginning) and call USCIS to get your case number.

This has been addressed here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/373136-packet-3-4-for-visa-interview-in-manila/

  2. Wow! Congrats! I'm also from the Philippines and my fiance from Florida. I just wanna ask how did you get your case number? Did you just wait for the letter? It will be a great help for all of us still going through the process. Thank you and God bless

No you don't have to wait for the NOA2 letter. If you sent the G-1130 (electronic notification) form along with your I-129F then they will text/email the petitioner you once the petition has been approved. Give it a few days after receiving this text/email then call USCIS at 1-603-334-070. They will ask you for the petitioner and beneficiary full name and DOB, etc. Just tell them you are checking your case status and you don't yet have your case number. Fortunately, every agent I spoke to was very helpful. When you call and it goes directly to an automated message just hang up and redial again. Do this until you call and it actually rings. Hope this helps.

  3. My fiances interview was scheduled for today, and we are approved! I'm so very proud of her for being so patient and remaining so strong through all of this. We feel very fortunate and grateful that we haven't run into any issues throughout the K-1 process so far. To the ones who are nearing their interview dates, we wish you all the very best. We look forward to continuing the rest of this long journey with all of you. Best of luck from the Bayou State!

  4. hi, i'm from the philippines. we have the same timeline. i checked my status at ceac website on july 24 and it's ready. pls let me know if u already receive packet 3. have u tried to schedule your interview or u will wait first for packet 3 before scheduling?

Hi Champaigne. Since it's already showing "Ready" you do not have to wait for a packet 3 before your schedule your interview and your medical.

See Manila Embassy info here: http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Philippines&cty=Manila

  5. NVC told me the same thing when I called them last night. I was also having the same issue of the site showing 'Your search did not return any data'. They said that they'd actually sent it to the embassy the day before. I check the NVC site again today, and low and behold it now shows 'Ready'. So with that said, yours should most likely reflect 'Ready' later today or tomorrow. Best of luck![/quote

Hi thanks for getting back to me! Sorry if I'm processing this slowly but to be clear....you can track it once it leaves NVC and it tells you when it arrives at the consulate? Or, does it just update to "ready" when they're done with it and that's how it stays?

Also can someone link me to instructions about tracking your visa with DHL please? Thanks!

Hey just curious, how soon after your case was sent to the embassy did you/were you able to schedule an interview?

Regarding the NVC site statuses, you're supposed to be able to track the NVC process status end-to-end in 3 different status changes as it arrives, gets processed, then departs for the embassy. I guess it's not uncommon though, given the volume of cases that flow through there and the efficiency that those statuses, and even case information, can be delayed. To answer your question, 'Ready' is the last and final step that NVC will reflect on their website.

Once that is complete, then you can assume that the Embassy has either received it or it's in flight and you can go ahead and finish up the remaining steps (if Philippines then 1. Pay Visa fee, 2.Schedule interview, 3. Fill-out and submit DS-160 online if K-1, 4. Schedule medical, in that order).

  6. Yay our visa is through the NVC and on its way to the U.S. Embassy in Australia! It was actually sent to Australia two days before I called! That's 25 days after NOA2 notice.

    Here's a quick timeline recap:

    Sent I-129F: 5/13/2015

    NOA1: 5/18. Received in mail on 5/26/2015.

    NOA2: 6/26/2015. Received in mail 7/6.

    That's 39 Days from 5/18-6/26

Called today 7/23 and was told our visa was sent to embassy two days ago. So roughly 25 to get into NVC and sent to embassy.

The lady told me I could not track the case since it was out of their hands and on way to Australia. Is that correct? What can I do to track it? I have invoice and case #'s.

I used CEAC to try to track but it says "Your search did not return any data." Is that because it's already left?

    Appreciate any help. Thanks!

  7. hi guys,

I am new to this process and need your help. i send my K-1 visa petition for alien fiance via usps on May 15 priority shipped, after tracking it I found out that is was received on May 17 and signed for. since then i have been waiting for an email stating that uscis have received it but nothing came. i called and the gentleman on the phone said it will take 30 days to hear from them, so i am still waiting, what can i do???

Hello and welcome! Did you also send an accompanying G-1145 form with your package? This form will allow them to contact you via text/email to update you on status, etc. I also sent mine around that time (May-13), and had an NOA1 notification text on 5/20. If you did not send one, then I'm sure you should be receiving the official NOA1 letter in the mail soon.

  8. Anyone with a NOA 1 date of early May (1st through 10th) have any luck getting anything from the USCIS tracking site?

We received NOA1 a bit after that date range (5/20) and immediately after that we were able to track the status as 'Accepted and in processing' on the USCIS site. Now we are receiving the validation error as so many have before. This is evidently a common thing with their website. At this point we're not really expecting any changes until a few days after NOA2. Good luck!

  9. Hi Ad_Infinitum,

Yay on being sent to Cali! :dancing: But you were not actually transferred. Everyone mails to Texas first and they assign the case and you are lucky to be assigned to California. If you change your timeline to show service center California and No for transfer, your estimated processing time for your I-129F will change from late December to late June. And thats a much better timeframe :-)

Thanks! That's awesome. I didn't realize that we could be assigned to California without being transferred. All similar cases that I've viewed for May show to be following the same path.
