From the London Embassy website
''K and Diversity visa applicants are not required to provide an I-864 Form. However, they must show evidence that they are not likely to become public charges while in the United States. There is no set for that this evidence must take but use of the form I-134 is an efficient way to provide this information to the Consular Officer.''

I really don't know if they will deny your fiancé outright for having the wrong form, but they could put a hold on it until the correct form is sent. You might want to prepare yourself for anything - the least of which would be to get it mailed out to your fiancé asap if they request it.
Hmmm, I suppose all we can do at this point is wait and see, thanks for your help .

Actually I-864 is not for K-1s, you would need your co-sponsor to fill out the I-134. Since the interview is on Monday... you're going to have some issues unless you haven't sent that and the evidence that goes with it.
I would suggest you head on over to the UK forum and have a big look over this handy guide for UK specific information and what your co-sponsor needs to send with the I-134. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/474161-london-k1-a-complete-guide/
You will need the I-864s only for when your fiancé arrives in the US, you marry, and then you file to adjust status.
Thanks for your quick reply. I went to the london website and they said that they require the i-864 and that the 143 is just an efficient way to show it, ... It wasnt really explicitely stated that its needed (I hope it goes well ) If anything the supporting documetns are all the same!! fingers crossed

Hello, I am currently a U.S. citizen and my fiance lives in England. Our visa interview is this Monday!! Needless to say I am extremely anxious and a million different things that could be possible complication run through my mind, so I'm hoping that some of you might be able to answer a few of my questions (And I yours if you are at the beginning of your K-1 journey!)
1) I am a full-time student and have no income. My fiance works, but we are only relying on my father's income as my co-sponser to allow my fiance entrance into the U.S.--I filled out form I-864 myself and my father completed form I-864A. I then found out some people fill out the I-134 instead, however either option is fine apparently. My question is....Is it a problem that I as the main sponser have absolutely no income? My father's income is well over what the minimum requirement would be.
2) Does the consulate in London allow this? (affidavit of support co-sponser who will basically be sponsering in place of me.(even though i filled out my own affidavit too))
3) If we were to get denied a K1 visa, and were asked for additional documents for example, how much longer would that process be extended for.
4) Could you share your overall experience with the interview in London (Approved/denied.....questions etc. )
Thank You all so much in advance!!!!
