  1. thanks, that is great news. for the other fella, yes, your beneficiary MUST be included in the 'head count" towards the minimum income requirement. My gal is just starting nursing school, so she will not be finishing her college in Phills. That would be 3-4 more years yet! I do want her to finish out this semester (ending in September for her) if it's not going to interfere with her coming here. but if we have to jettison this semester (or the next one) in favor of her trip here, then the school gets kicked to the curb.

  3. I am currently self employed. the biz is currently doing really well. Can someone explain please? Do I need the income verification right from the beginning to get the visa itself, or is that requirement only at the point of "adjustment of status".? In the months in between those 2 occurrences, I will have plenty of money, from the look of things, and I need my Fiance here to help "grow" this biz. Thanks for your help! Also, she's in nursing college and her semester ends in Sept 2015. Once her fiance visa is issued, does she have a time limit during which she must utilize that visa? Thanks again,

  4. I don't see what "finalized" has to do with it, if you've got the 20k income, and already paid the quarterly taxes on it. thats the same thing as working a strraight job for the year. YOu've made the 20k and paid the taxes on it, so why would a CO care about it being "final". If you've made that much in 6 months, you're better able to support your woman than a guy who takes all year to make that much, and they accept the latter, easily enough.

  5. My fiance is in phills. I will go there to marry her if there's an advantage to doing so, of course. I need her here ASAP. she's currently a first year nursing student (on my money) Sjhe's 27, I"m 62, US citizen. She's got a 5 year old daughter that will have to remain with grandma for a year, while her mom and I work out where we'll love, etc. Our daughter prefers grandma anything, mom havng been too busy making money. I"m marginal (for a while yet) on having the needed support money for her.

I just came back from Manila, we lived together for 7 weeks, both of our names on the lease., plenty of pics of us togheter with her family, chat, skype, email records, telegram money sent, etc. I need to know the $ amounts for each, cause her current semester ends in Sept, I'd like to have her here shortly after that, before she has to sign up for October classes. I want her here, in January US classes.

  6. hmm, that's a bit strange/risky for the CO to allow immigration with no income. But thanks for the hope! :-) My fiance has no income, but she's a nursing student. She can get loans grants, as can I, and I get SS retirement and VA disability. So we get free VA medical care, which is the big risk, really. She'll be an LPN in a year, and we'll then move wherevr VA has a job for her.

  7. ok, thanks. I am a veteran, so my fiance, once we marry, will be eligible for free medical care thru thie VA. Can somebody please tell me the maximum amount that my joint/co sponsor will be "on the hook for' if they sign the affadavit of support? I know my family and they are going to ask this question! :-) I think that it would be limited to public housing ($400 per month) and ($180 per month) food stamps, should she go on such support. Is there anything else that I am unaware of? thanks.
