To sum up our problem: we entered Curacao as the embassy for the interview and they don't do K1 visa interview there, so the NVC sent our case to Caracas, Venezuela.

But with all the safety warnings there, we decided that it would be better if we can change the interview location. We've been trying to get a confirmation from Bogota for a month now, without any luck.

They told us that it would be possible, but keep in mind a delay of a month or so, we don't care about the delay and told them this, and that our only concern is the expiration date on the NOA2. So for them to please start the process to transfer our package to them.

So should we have as conclusion that they are going to transfer our package to Bogota?

Can anyone give us advice on maybe what we can do?

We are getting frustrated now, because we don't know what else to do, we tried calling all these places and all of them tell us to keep sending emails to Bogota.

@pitaya thanks for your help my fiance is going to contact the NCSC on Monday, because he sent en email to California visa center, but got an automatic reply stating that you have to call them before sending an email.

Okay thanks, because we contacted Curacao and they suggested contacting the visa center that processed our package.

@pitaya thanks for the reply, but our problem is we got an email from the Caracas embassy stating out interview date. So should we contact them to ask to change it to Colombia for example? or who should we contact?

I live on Bonaire an island close to Curacao and Aruba. They have a consulate in Curacao, but they don't process the K1 visa there, but we didn't know that so selected Curacao on our papers. So last week my fiance got an email stating that I have to go to Caracas for the interview. But it is really dangerous there, so I would prefer to go to a different location.

Is it possible to change embassy interview location to another location after already being assigned a date and location?

My fiance and I recently received our interview date, but I will have to go to Caracas for the interview they said.

We did a dumb move by not informing ourselves good enough to know that the consulate in Curacao doesn't process the K1 visa.

So he emailed them in Curacao to see what they would advice us. Because I really don't want to go to Caracas with all the problems that has been going on there.

They answered him saying to contact the Visa Center where we started the process to see if the location can be changed.

Does anyone have experience with this and what we can do?
