  1. Hi Guys..please help me out.. my case was complete on 15 July, I sent packet 3 to the embassy on September 15th. Its been almost 3 months and I havent received an interview date. I tried scheduling twice via the US travel docs website and I actually scheduled an appointment twice, first on the 9th of december and second on the 10th of January, but they cancelled the appointment and sent me an email saying the following:

Dear Applicant, your appointment at the U.S. Consulate has been canceled as your file is not ready. You will be contacted once your file is ready to schedule another appointment.

    Thank you,
    Communication Agent
    U.S. Embassy Call Center

Do you guys know how much longer i need to wait to get an appointment?

  2. Hi vj family,

I received packet 3 from the embassy on July 15, 2015. However, I had to travel so I sent them the required documents on September 14,2015. I have sent everything required other than the medical

I sent an email to the embassy inquiring about the expected timeframe for the interview, they sent me this reply:

We received the documents but we are scheduling on the basis of first come first serve basis, according to the preparing of the documents, and we are now scheduling people prepared their documents beginning of April.

    Regards,

    Consular Staff

I don't know if this is true or not. I dont think its possible for them to take 7 months to schedule an interview :ranting:.

So my question is : Does anyone have a recent similar experience? If so how long on average did you have to wait from the time you sent them packet 3.

Thanks everyone, I really wish all of you the best of luck.

  3. Guys thank you so much for your responses. I just checked the case status online it turned to approved! :dancing: So I guess do not worry if they delay working on your case, its very frustrating but you have to have patience :) Bublik, I guess me and you share the same experience so you know how it is...tine71 dont worry if they give you an RFE...if they do just print the terms and conditions of the website highlighting the part where it says its not a marriage broker...and send in a page describing how you met in person and have the petitioner sign it for additional proof..thats what I did

  4. Hi Everyone, I filed for K1 fiance visa on February 26th. I got my NOA1 on March 3rd. Then I got an RFE on April 2nd. The RFE was to provide more information on the dating website me and my Fiance used to meet each other, muslima.com and to provide more information on the circumstances in which we met. We sent in an RFE response containing the terms of the website clearly stating how its not a marriage broker, and sent in information of how we met in person on both times, and how our relationship evolved. Me and my fiance met 2 times, each lasting around 3 weeks. We have no red flags, same age, same religion, same ethnicity, no criminal background. The uscis website shows that they received the RFE response on April 10th, but they did not respond yet. I am genuinely worried. On the website it said to contact them if they do not respond before June 9th. If anyone has any advice on what to do, that would be greatly appreciated. And I forgot to mention here that this is California Service Center as well.

  5. Good Morning Visa Journey,

Hope everyone is well. I am a new poster to this website, but I have followed the instructions on this website very thoroughly when I filed my I-129F. I met my fiance through a dating website called muslima.com in June 2014...He came to see me twice in September 2014 and Feb 2015 on b1/b2 visa. We filed the I-129F on February 26th, 2015, and got NOA1 on March 3rd 2015. However we got an RFE on April 1st that I dont quite understand. I will include details of the RFE below, any help is very much appreciated.

    RFE details:

You stated you met your fiance through an online dating website, however you did not provide any specific detail about this website.Submit information about this website and the circumstances under which you and your beneficiary met to establish the relationship.

    International Marriage Broker(IMB)

The evidence submitted indicates that you may have the beneficiary through the services of an international marriage broker (IMB). You stated you met the beneficiary through a dating website, although the answer to question 35 on the fiancee petition indicates that you did not meet the beneficiary through the services of an international marriage broker, you did not specify that the website is not an international marriage broker as defined by regulations. An International Marriage Broker is considered a business that charges fees for dating, matrimonial, matchmaking services or social referrals between United state citizens and foreign nationals. As such you must submit a copy of the signed written consent form that the International Marriage Broker obtained from the beneficiary authorizing the release of his personal contact information to you, or documentation to establish that the website is not an international marriage broker.

Me and fiance met through this website, but we both created free accounts and I sent him a like on his page and we started texting, then our relationship developed into talking over the phone, and skyping, then he came to see me in person in September, then again in February. From the terms of use on muslima.com...it indicates the following:

    The Service

The Service is an internet information service that facilitates contact between members who may or may not be seeking friendship or a relationship. It is not a marriage brokering service, mail order bride service or a matchmaking service. The Company is under no obligation to broker any other member or members for you.

Any help will be much, much appreciated...Is this an easy fix? Thank you in advance
