I'm glad you're finally on your way and you were able to overcome the special issues about your case.
I'm curious though about your name change comment... what happened to make them turn down a name change request?
I'm very curious about this as well.
Would you please respond ATLBrazil?
Thanks.

i am still waiting may 2015 to now n400 interview letter almost 10 month
Kismat, where is your timeline?
Did you already pass the interview?
Pakistanis and Koreans are way behind the line right now due to the turmoil in middle east and North Korea....
-
Congrats to you two !
Glad to see that this process is still moving!
-
Yes, I am here with you! I was put in line for interview on 12/9, nothing since then. I don't know how long I need to wait ...
Good to know that I'm not alone...
Wow you still haven't got an interview yet. Very strange....
Good luck to you.

Anyone else still waiting or have been naturalized?
In six days, it will be exactly a year since my filing date.

Visa journey has been a great resource and a big help during my application process. Thank you all.
Hi MyN400App,
Congratulations on your long journey of obtaining U.S citizenship.
Did you go through a name change by any chance? Today marks exactly 11 months since the USCIS has received my application.
Thanks in advance.

congrats
thank you
Hey! How long we usually wait "in line" for the oath!?
Hey Atlbrazil,
I'm in the same boat as you and I've been waiting for the update since July. I've been placed in line for oath officially on July 7th and still have not received the oath letter.
I also requested an address change because I've switched jobs and filled out a transfer form to Dallas, TX before I left Georgia.
Are you going through a name change by any chance? (Because I am). From what I hear, that may take twice or thrice as long than no name change cases.
I know how you feel man... I left Georgia because I didn't like the fact that I was held hostage just for this thing... Let's hang in there though..

Hey VJ,
Is it possible for the USCIS to deny your case after you've been placed in line for oath? I've called them several times and they did say the case has been approved. I'm just concerned because there hasn't been a status update since June..... I am going through a judicial oath and the Atlanta office is seriously making me suicidal. Any thoughts or inputs will be appreciated.
Thanks.

How long after the interview for the online status change and for the oath letter arrive?
i had my interview on oc 15 and until today nothing yet, and the officer said 3 weeks after interview
I've been waiting since May....
Atlanta field office is a joke.
Good luck to you anyways.

I feel for you.... and we're in the same boat.

Has anyone else taken the interview and hasn't been scheduled for oath yet? The online status says I'm in line for oath but no letter yet since July 7th. Is it maybe because I'm going through a name change and require a judicial oath ceremony?
Atlanta field office is seriously making me suicidal.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

What time they usually sent the text message, email or etc updating?
What are you talking about?
I don't get any of that...

i think everybody who filled this year will get their citizenship but me! Since my green card the seem to make me wait! always takes forever!
No updates since March!!!! I guess i will wait till next year! Lazy people!
Hang in there my friend! Babyshaq4 and I (anyone else?) are in the same boat! Hopefully we will hear something soon.
Hey Atlbrazil,
I'm in the same boat...
I had my interview on the 18th and still no oath date yet.
My online status says I'm in queue for oath but it's been that way since two months ago.
Atlanta field office is trash and way behind schedule.. Sick of this anti-immigration, low iq, inbred, redneck bible belt...
P.S Everyone make sure to vote for a democrat for your first presidential election voting! Sick and tired of all these inferior redneck republicans thinking only Whites should be allowed in this country lol. This is a country built by immigrants. The only difference between White immigrants vs other immigrants today is that we have to go through this lengthy sickening process whereas Whites showed up here with nothing but guns and shot Native Indians to steal their land lol.

So it's officially been 2 months since my interview and I've been in line for Oath ceremony since 6/22. I am a bit worried now. I know there's an oath ceremony in a nearby city on 9/18, and I thought it's taking them so long to because they would schedule me for that one instead of having me drive to Jacksonville (4 hrs away). But now it's getting close to September and I still hear nothing. Should I wait a little longer or should I contact USCIS now?
It's been almost three months for me and I still have not heard anything.
If you want to call the USCIS, here is the quickest way to speak to a tier 2 agent.
Call 1-800-375-5283 then 1, 2, 3, and 6.
I'm in the same boat and all we can do is just keep waiting.
Thanks and have a great day.

My current status says "Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled".
Just wondering how long it would take to receive the oath letter from this point?
It's been three weeks already since the status update.
Would appreciate anyone who could give me an insight.
Thank you.

The N-445 Oath Ceremony letter that you have to submit at the ceremony asks if since the interview you: "Have you been arrested, cited, charged... including any traffic violations?"
You will have to answer yes and you may be asked to show proof that you paid the fine or successfully had the charges dismissed.
Advice: you broke a traffic ordinance and you should pay the fine. The sooner you do it, the better, so you can have the paperwork at your ceremony.
Hey Jimmy,
How likely is it that they will deny my case for a dismissed case in petty theft? This is also my one and only offense.
I did disclose the information in the N400 though.
Thanks in advance.
-
Atlanta only holds one judicial oath ceremony per month and they are one of the slowest offices in the country.
You got an RFE after the interview?
I got an RFE on the spot at the interview which was at 5/18. They received the RFE on 6/13, so it says online. Also going through a name change.
It was a court certified disposition for a petty theft misdemeanor 3 years ago, which is my one and only record.
-
Anyone else going through a name change who thinks their case is longer than usual?
Also, did anyone else get the request for initial evidence notice?
-
I passed the interview yesterday.
Does anyone know how long it takes for the judicial ceremony (name change) ?
Thanks in advance !

Received my interview letter today. Set for May 18th !
-
Please update me for *in line for interview* on 4/6/2015.
Thank you
