  1. I finally had my oath ceremony on 01/08/16 !!!

    Please update my time line:

    MyN400App........|03/18/10|02/23|--/--|??/??|04/02/15|11/12/15.|12/03/15.|01/05/16.|01/08/16.|Atlanta, GA

Visa journey has been a great resource and a big help during my application process. Thank you all.

    Hi MyN400App,

Congratulations on your long journey of obtaining U.S citizenship.

Did you go through a name change by any chance? Today marks exactly 11 months since the USCIS has received my application.

    Thanks in advance.

  2. congrats

    thank you

Hey! How long we usually wait "in line" for the oath!?

    Hey Atlbrazil,

I'm in the same boat as you and I've been waiting for the update since July. I've been placed in line for oath officially on July 7th and still have not received the oath letter.

I also requested an address change because I've switched jobs and filled out a transfer form to Dallas, TX before I left Georgia.

Are you going through a name change by any chance? (Because I am). From what I hear, that may take twice or thrice as long than no name change cases.

I know how you feel man... I left Georgia because I didn't like the fact that I was held hostage just for this thing... Let's hang in there though..

  3. Hey VJ,

Is it possible for the USCIS to deny your case after you've been placed in line for oath? I've called them several times and they did say the case has been approved. I'm just concerned because there hasn't been a status update since June..... I am going through a judicial oath and the Atlanta office is seriously making me suicidal. Any thoughts or inputs will be appreciated.

    Thanks.

  4. New to this forum adding my timeline for Feb, 2015 N400 filers list:

    UserName|GC-Date. |Sent. |Cashd |NOA.. |Fprints. |In Line..|Int ltr..|Intview..|Oath.....|Field Office
    MyN400App|03/18/10.|--/--/--. |--/--/--. |02/25/15|04/02/15|--/--/--.|--/--/--.|--/--/--.|--/--/--. |Atlanta, GA

You're a prime example of why the Atlanta field office and the state of Georgia is an absolute joke.

I feel for you.... and we're in the same boat.

  5. i think everybody who filled this year will get their citizenship but me! Since my green card the seem to make me wait! always takes forever!

No updates since March!!!! I guess i will wait till next year! Lazy people!

Hang in there my friend! Babyshaq4 and I (anyone else?) are in the same boat! Hopefully we will hear something soon.

    Hey Atlbrazil,

    I'm in the same boat...

I had my interview on the 18th and still no oath date yet.

My online status says I'm in queue for oath but it's been that way since two months ago.

Atlanta field office is trash and way behind schedule.. Sick of this anti-immigration, low iq, inbred, redneck bible belt...

P.S Everyone make sure to vote for a democrat for your first presidential election voting! Sick and tired of all these inferior redneck republicans thinking only Whites should be allowed in this country lol. This is a country built by immigrants. The only difference between White immigrants vs other immigrants today is that we have to go through this lengthy sickening process whereas Whites showed up here with nothing but guns and shot Native Indians to steal their land lol.

  6. So it's officially been 2 months since my interview and I've been in line for Oath ceremony since 6/22. I am a bit worried now. I know there's an oath ceremony in a nearby city on 9/18, and I thought it's taking them so long to because they would schedule me for that one instead of having me drive to Jacksonville (4 hrs away). But now it's getting close to September and I still hear nothing. Should I wait a little longer or should I contact USCIS now?

It's been almost three months for me and I still have not heard anything.

If you want to call the USCIS, here is the quickest way to speak to a tier 2 agent.

    Call 1-800-375-5283 then 1, 2, 3, and 6.

I'm in the same boat and all we can do is just keep waiting.

Thanks and have a great day.

  7. The N-445 Oath Ceremony letter that you have to submit at the ceremony asks if since the interview you: "Have you been arrested, cited, charged... including any traffic violations?"

You will have to answer yes and you may be asked to show proof that you paid the fine or successfully had the charges dismissed.

Advice: you broke a traffic ordinance and you should pay the fine. The sooner you do it, the better, so you can have the paperwork at your ceremony.

    Hey Jimmy,

How likely is it that they will deny my case for a dismissed case in petty theft? This is also my one and only offense.

I did disclose the information in the N400 though.

    Thanks in advance.

  8. Atlanta only holds one judicial oath ceremony per month and they are one of the slowest offices in the country.

You got an RFE after the interview?

I got an RFE on the spot at the interview which was at 5/18. They received the RFE on 6/13, so it says online. Also going through a name change.

It was a court certified disposition for a petty theft misdemeanor 3 years ago, which is my one and only record.
