I am in desperate need of help. I arrived in the US on Dec. 21 and filed for the I131, I765, and all else in January. They sent me letter confirming the receiving of all the documents early February. I requested my documents to be expedited, specifically the travel document, so that I can attend my brother's wedding on April 3, 2015 (this week!) They didn't approve it. Throughout the process I have been checking my status and each one would state that my case is in process and that the receipt was sent. This is was the same for the I 131 (Travel document) except USCIS forgot to include my apartment number, so the letter ended up being sent back to them which took a total of 5 weeks. After that the status was updated to "My Document Was Sent." I called the National Benefits Centre and asked what the status was about, I talked to 11 different agents just to confirm that they all give me the same answer, which they did. Each one told me that my travel document was approved and was sent on March 10. I ended up going back and forth from post office to post office. I talked to the mailman almost daily to make sure that if this document came, it wouldn't be sent back. I went ahead and bought a dress for the wedding. I have yet to book my flight. I have been planning my brother's wedding well over a year now. You can imagine how heartbroken I am right now that there is a chance I won't be attending it.I would be missing from wedding family photos. I would do anything to be there this friday. Finally the lawyer emailed a director at the local office, and he told him that it hasn't been approved. This is after calling the National Benefits Center everyday and even talking to an Immigration officer there, and they ALL told me I was approved. I am devastated and feeling helpless. I have a info pass appointment tomorrow which is my last straw. I have been crying for days now at the situation and my lawyer isn't too hopeful anything will change at the appointment. I am desperate and don't know what will happen tomorrow or what to do. Any help is much appreciated.
