  1. Hello, I am wondering what is best advised in regards to writing about the relationship when preparing for the I-129f packet. It seems most people write one essay about their relationship as well as answering how they met in person - which is an attachment to question 34a. But I've also seen some examples where people wrote less than a page just answering how they met in person, and then writing an additional essay about their relationship and attaching that as an extra document. Anyone have a recommendation what to do? thanks!

  2. My fiancee's foreign home address is much longer than the US standard, and so would need to be written out on an attachment paper. However I've read conflicting reports on this issue. Some say to write "please see attachment" on the form and list all the information on an extra sheet, but others have said they did that and it was returned to them - they then shorten the address to make it fit in the form and was accepted. Any advice? Thanks.

  3. Hello, I am a US citizen (born abroad) applying for the I-129F. Under question 13.d.1, it asks for the 'Certificate Number' from the 'Certificate of Citizenship.'

However, my original certificate of citizenship has no such number, I attached a copy of what it looks like. What should I do about this?

I am also planning to send a copy of my US passport, but am unsure what it means when they say "validity for 5 years." My passport expires in 2016, will this be a problem?

    Thanks for the help!
