Our IR1 case was completed at the NVC and was sent to the consulate in Colombo on the 20th of Nov. I'd like to thank all the visajourney users for all your help and advice throughout this process. You're all great and I hope your petitions will be completed soon. Hopefully my husband will be here before X'mas since the Embassy in Colombo is pretty quick in processing IR1s. The DS 230 have been generated for my husband's IR visa on the 25th and I need to know some information please......

Does the NVC send the DS 230 to my husband in Sri Lanka or me? (I'm the Agent for him).

If they send it to him, should I print it out from the state dept website and fedex it to him and have him fill it out and send it back to me, and send it to the NVC with the cover letter that I made with James shortcuts?

Or

Just fill it out myself since I'm the agent, and send it to them with the cover letter (and also the copy of his passport)?

I'm sending the I-864 tomorrow and my uncle's sponsoring my husband since I'm a full time student. I just found out that I need to fill naother I-864 form for myself as well as the joint sponsor's I-864 form. On the one that I'm filling out for myself,

should I check the box for #8. of part 3. (I'm sponsoring the principal immigrant named in part 2 above)???

Should I fill out my information in part 4. (Information on the sponsor)? Even though my uncle's sponsoring my husband?

HI! My husband has rcvd his packet 3 for the K3 interview and it says that he can come in on any Tuesday or thrusday for the interview when he's done with the medical. However, I'm at the stage where I'm sending the I-864 and IV fee bill of the IR-1 process. Do you think he should go for the K3 interview and then, when the I-130 case arrives at the embassy, go for that interview as well? Will getting a K3 visa be a problem for the IR-1 interview? We prefer the IR-1 more than the K3. Should I cancel the K3 interview since it might pose a problem for IR-1 interview? Once the case arrives at the embassy, it usually takes a month for the interview to be shceduled for the IR-1 in Colombo. Please give me your input.......... Thanks!

I-864 has been generated as well as the IV fee bill (on Sep. 04) at the NVC and the operator said that it will be sent sometime this week. Do I have to wait until it's sent from the NVC to send the one that I already prepared?

Hi! I'm a fulltime student and my uncle's my joint sponsor for the K3 of my husband. Can he fill out the I134 for me? Do I need to write a statement why I dont have an income? Will it be a problem at the interview? Please help me in this situation. Thanks.....

This is for the K3 visa. My I-130 is still at NVC and they just rcvd the $70 fee and the DS3032 that my husband emailed. I-864 isn't generated yet. The K3 was completed and sent to the Embassy in Colombo on the 11th of August and my husband got the info for the interview, which I think is the packet 3, on saturday and it says, on the list of things that he needs to bring to ther interview, I-864 and I-134. That was what I needed to know. They havn't given him a specific date for the interview. The letter says to come in any Tuesday or thursday at 1PM for the interview with the medical reports and everything. So as soon as he gets his medical reports done, he's going to the embassy. I didn't know that you needed the I-864 for a K3 interview, so I need to send him that as well.

My husband received Packet 3 today and they asked for I-134 and I-864 to be taken to the interview. Do I need to send him both notarized??? Do I need three years of taxes? Please let me know. Thanks

My K3 was approved on the 28th of July and I just received the notice in the mail today. The USCIS website case status isn't updated yet.

My I-130 was approved on August 1st as I posted earlier and it was updated on the USCIS case status website but I rcvd the approval notice for 129F and it's date July 28th but the website hasn't been updated. Anyways, I think the K3 will be much faster than the I-130 route. I'm still going to proceed with the I-130 anyway.

Does anyone reccomend using James shortcuts? Does it expedite the process or can it delay the process all together? Can anyone who used it post thier experience??? Thanks.........

My I-130 was approved yesterday after four months of waiting!!! California transferees should be getting thier approvals soon!

My I-130 has an original receipt date of March 24th ad was sent to California on July 10th!

How did you get your senator to expedite your I-130? I've been married for two years and I'd like to try anything I can think of........ Any help will be appreciated, thanks!!!

MY I130 NOA 1 date is the 26th of March at VSC and it was send to CSC on the 10th of July and I got an email that said that it was rcvd at CSC on the 10th. It's been touched on the 12th of July and also on the 13th(today). So I hope that means they're working on it. Hang in there! Our chance will come soon!

I rcvd the RFE on 03rd of July and I sent it back on the same day and I got an update that it was rcvd by the USCIS on the 10th of July. But I rcvd another RFE today (same one that I filled out and mailed on the 3rd). Should I send it again? Or should I ignore it since my account online doesn't say anything about a second RFE or anything wrong with the one I sent last week.

Please let me know what I should do.

I just got two emails that said my I130 has been transferred from VSC to CSC too. What's going on???

I got the RFE today and returned it. I wonder how long it will take from this point for this to be approved!!!

I sent my I-130 on March 24th and I-129F on April 07th for K3. My questions is, since MY NOA1 date online is April 06th, will I be affected by IMBRA? I've been married for two years, so I've also been thinking about doing DCF in Sri Lanka which might be faster. None of my applications looks like they'll get approved soon and I'm tired of waiting.........

Should I try DCF? Or should I continue to wait for I-129F to be approved?

Hi! I have a few questions about doing DCF. Please help me with the following if you can!

I've been married for two years for this July and I just became a US Citizen in March of this year. I sent my I-130 and I-129F for a K3 but haven't got approved yet. I'm hoping to go to Sri Lanka to work temporarily for two months and I need to know if I'll be able to do DCF there. Should I wait for the K3 to be approved or should I try DCF? My I-130 has only been touched once on 04/01/2006 after it was submitted and it will probably take a long time for that to be approved.

Please give me any suggestions since I'm so fed up of waiting like this!

My I129F was updated on the 16th as well and it was rcvd on the 06th of April......... Hopefully it's a good sign!!!

I"m sending the I-130 for my husband tomorrow (Vermont Service Center) and would like to know if I should go ahead and apply for K3 for him or just wait and do the CR1. We've been married for almost two years and some people think it'll be better to wait for the I-130 to be approved but it might be faster to apply K3. The waiting time for an interview at the Embassy is about two months for both CR1 and K3 and therefore, the processing time here is what makes the difference. The question that I have about K3 is that he wont be able to work as soon as he gets here since he has to apply for EAD and it takes a few months right? Please let me know what you think. Any ideas are highly appreciated. Many thanks!!!
