    Congratulations.

You get the approval letter for N-400 ?

    OR

Did you receive the letter that you passed the N-400 civics test but due to pending I-751 decision can't be made. It will take 120 days for decision?

no , they provided me with the notice that says i passed the civics test and congratulations you are recommended for approval , the office basically recommended for approval my 1751 and n400

  2. hi guys well it was finally my turn i had my n400 interview yesterday , i still have not received my 10 yr gc yet so i was hoping i would get a combo interview. So i got everything prepared for both interviewsjust in case and went with my husband as well. They called me in and the officer noticed that my i751 was still pending and she said she would do my n400 interview first and then my i751 after and would will call my husband in. We provided her with additional paperwork we thought would be important to add into our folder like our new house and other similar paperwork she didnt really ask any question for the i751 we had provided pretty good evidence prior to this day . She recommended me for approval. So now i just have to wait to receive my oath ceremony notice . I am very happy its an awesome feeling and i hope everyone else will receive soon these type of news.

  5. Well i had my interview today and I GOT APPROVED!! We are very excited. Recommendation for any of you who have an interview soon arrive early the earlier you get the faster they will call you i had my appointment at 8:30 and i arrived an hour earlier and there was already 25 people before me some of them even had their interview at 9 am so the time doesnt really matter. As soon as you get there tell the security that you are there for a resident visa and they will let you in if you dont tell them that they will assume is a tourist visa and will ask you to wait outside until the time of the appointment. After that you will go in through security check you can keep your cellphone and turn it on when you are inside.

After you go in they will take your name and cross you out from a list they have and give you a number to get called for the first time. When they call you to the first window is to confirm your information like name email birth date and if you had any entrance to the USA before (at least thats what they asked me). After that they will call you again by your name and the consul will then do the interview ( with me he only asked me one question about my stay in the usa, nothing about my husband and i) so i guess for every case that could be different i saw some people had to show all their papers in their folder, pictures and some like me that didnt have to show anything. They told me congratulation your visa has been approved and they gave me a paper that is an immigration fee you have to pay online before you travel. They will send me the package and the passport with the visa through DHL the one you chose. I got out at 12 so you might be there for a while since they only had 2 windows open for interviews. Hope this helps you guys and good luck.

PS: YOUR PETITIONER IS ALLOWED TO GO WITH YOU. Any other companion isnt. The consul and everyone at the embassy was very nice and respectful.

  6. Anyone got any recent medical stories to share? My wife is a little nervous about the appointment after reading some of the complaints on this forum.

Well i havent had my medical appointment itself yet i have it on monday so ill let you know how that goes but i did go already for chest xray and the blood test so ill tell you about that.... is a small lab place so eveyrone has to wait outside and they will pass people by groups of 7 or 10 , they open from 7 -10 only so i arrived at 715 and by that time there was already around 25 people in front of me and it was a somewhat slow, so i ended up going inside around 9:20 they call you to fill out the information (Very important before you go to the lab you already have to have a doctors appointment since they will ask you for the name of the doctor so they can send the results to him/her) after that they will draw your blood and then you have to wait to get called for the chest xray.... i got out at 10:30. I hope this help i dont know if your spouse had already done this or not. lol :)

  7. No, not anymore. I think of the group of us hired at the same time, now there's only one left. The coordinator is gone, also. Yes, I was surprised, too, cool. Yes, it's great; now we're just checking CEAC obsessively. It went Administrative Processing to Ready as of Friday. It's supposed to change to Administrative Processing again, and then Issued. (I've heard)

I don't think that they would want originals for the passport. I think only for the parts on the interview letter that have a letter J.

jxpm, the DS-230 is just the old version of DS-260.

oh ok thx u so much for clearing that up for me:)

  8. You're Kristina from [redacted] in 2012? Wow, that's amazing. Are you still working there? What a coincidence that we are in the same phase of our lives at the same moment. So great that your husband got a visa!

Tiko, I think you may have misunderstood me. The copy I have of my marriage license is from the notaria itself. They make a certified copy for you when you ask for one of the original license, which is kept on premises and can't be taken out of the notaria. It has the official stamp and everything. Looking over the Bogota embassy's website, it seems that it is acceptable to bring this version to the interview, since there is no way to obtain an original. I sent the same version to the NVC, and in my P4 letter it says to bring an original copy, but I suppose the NVC can't tailor its responses to reflect the different systems in every country.

My joint sponsor is going to scan her birth certificate and send it to me by email. I had already sent the NVC a copy of her passport, and I am bringing a copy or original version of everything I sent to the NVC to the interview as well.

One other question for anyone here with a Bogota interview. I am registering my wife's interview appointment in the Official US Department of State Visa Appointment Service site, and the site said that her case is not ready to register an appointment yet. We have an interview at the Bogota embassy on October 21st, and already received the P4 letter on September 11th. We double-checked that all the info we entered was correct. We sent an email to CSC support to see if there is a problem, but they haven't responded y. Should I be worried or is this normal?

I had the same problem with the registration so we sent an email to the CSC it took about 4 days for their response and then i was able to register the main reason why is important to register the appointment is because while you are doing the registration they ask you to also choose a date to go get the fingeprint done which has to be done before the interview date. Also make sure that the number t the end of the ds form is the number they ask for in the registration, because 2 numbers appear.

  9. I just got an interview date. In the list of documents to bring, they say that the Colombian police certificate I sent was a copy. I printed it from online, the 'antecedentes judiciales' https://antecedentes.policia.gov.co:7005/WebJudicial/antecedentes.xhtml. How can I get an original?

i dont know if it still needed by you buti got an original from the interet but it cost 30,000 pesos in this website since they said the one we usually get free in bogota doesnt work when its meant to be seen outside the country so you ask for it thenyou pay online or through a bank and then they send the pdf to your email to download.

Hi im new to this forum and my NVC case was completed 8/26/15 and i was wondering how long does it take to get an interview date schedule? Thanks
