Congrats, from both of us!!! hopefully we'll be soon, 179 days and counting, maybe!

Maybe they are trying to make the six month goal for Noa2s?
Maybe thats true...that means they have a lot of us to do in the next couple weeks. (of course I dont want to wait another couple weeks).
wolf
I agree
we are still in there, bit it seems not for long.Called USCIS today for an update since our online status has not changed in a while. got the nessage, we are unable to locate ANY information on the reciept number supplied, be sure # is coreect and try again, tried again, same thing. told me to call USCIS where i filed the petion. Before, the last two months, the recording said Due to temporary problems with the sytem, they were unable to provide any information on our case.
Now it says they dont recognize our case at all and call USCIS.
DID THEY LOOSE OUR FILE??????????????????????????????
I'm leaving in 11 days to go to belgium, marry my baby, file DCF and in 4 to 6 weeks after that we'll be here with green card stamped in her passport,, NO AOS to wait for. nothing, just two weks to get a social and she can work, we're married and being together happily ever after!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-)
I hope you all the best, we just can't go through all this again! we even have an attorney, fro belgium, never said a word to us about going DCF there in belgium, found it all out by all of you guys/Girls here on Visa journy.
thank you, godd speed to you all, i'm going to be with my baby and never have to leave her again!!!!!!!! Or she leave me!!!!!
-
Oh, ok. Thank you for the information!!!
Too bad that the processing times for I-129F's are accurate!!!! :-)
-
We wouldn't really wait for the NOA2 anymore because I agree, once you have the NOA, it might not be that interesting anymore to abandon the K-1 route.
But, on the other hand, DCF seems to have other advantages, such as faster work authorization, no?
-
Ok, I'm a bit lost and I'm sorry if this is a stupid question but do I understand it correctly that K1's need to file for AOS with the Chicago office but that it's not the Chicago office who will process it?
So where do we need to look? Do we have to look at the processing times of the Chicago office or the ones of the San Antonio office?
Thanks.
P.S. The reason why I'm asking about processing times for AOS even though we don't have our NOA2 for the I-129F yet is that we're considering to abandon K1 and go for DCF. Because from what I've read on here, everything seems to go faster through DCF (also work authorization and so forth).

We are considering that option also for the moment. We're waiting for an answer from the embassy on the residency requirements for the U.S. citizen.
-
Still here as well....
-
Welcome to VJ as well. Another Belgian!!!
Anyway, like others have said, I also would recommend you to be careful with making very specific wedding arrangements. We received our NOA1 March 23rd and are still waiting for the NOA2, so.....
Groetjes,

Congrats...

10.11 Order of Processing.
(a) Routine and Expedited Cases. Generally, applications and petitions should be processed in the order in which they are received. Exceptions can, and should, be made for a number of different reasons, and sometimes those reasons may appear to conflict with one another. Reasons for prioritizing certain applications and petitions over others may relate to:
• A statutory requirement, such as the requirement that joint petitions for removal of conditions under the marriage fraud amendments be interviewed within 90 days of filing and adjudicated within 90 days of being interviewed (section 216 of the Act), or that L-1 petitions be adjudicated within 30 days of filing (section 214(a)(2)© of the Act);
• USCIS-wide policy pertaining to the type of application or petition being filed, such as The USCIS Director's fiscal year priority that backlogs in a given type of application or petition be reduced to a specified level;
• Current events in the homeland of the applicant or beneficiary, such as a natural disaster or civil war;
• Imminent events which may effect the eligibility of the applicant or petitioner, such as the termination of a program whose duration is limited by statute or the "ageing out" of a dependent,
• A need to coordinate actions with other branches of DHS, or with other agencies in order to meet common goals
• To correct an injustice which may have occurred, or to prevent one which may be about to occur.
Can we ask for fast processing due to an injustice by them???????
-
Wow, cool!!! Actually, we have considered that also!!! Maybe we can have a little reception together one day!
-
We met in Bandera, Texas!!!!!!!!!
If it can be a relief, from what I've seen on here, a lot of cases get approved right after CSC receives the second RFE.
-
Have you also send them copies of the stamps in both your passports. That seems something they frequently ask.
Can I also ask you a question? Are you still allowed to travel to the US (under VWP)after the INS officer made that comment? This is getting one of my concerns. I've also became a frequent traveller to the US and I'm getting a bit concerned that the next time I might be denied entry.
Thank you

Hi, welcome to the VJ club!
I guess you'll find a whole lot of people here who completely understand your story and who know exactly how you feel.
We have also filed with the TSC and were then transferred to CSC. Our NOA1 date is 23 March, IMBRA RFE also end of June and since then, no news. Also frustrated that we always get the same standard answers from USCIS and that we have no idea of what exactly is going on.
No second RFE yet for us, but you're for sure not the only one who received a second RFE. If you look at the first thread in the K1 forum you'll find a thread about RFE's (it's the first one listed).
Good luck!!!
-
Don't give up jabree!!!!! As you said earlier, the fact that they've sent you an RFE means that you're still in the game.

Update = time of last update changes + content of the message changes
Touch = time of last update changes but message stays the same as before.

now when I call USCIS-CSC, After it asks for my REcpt #, It comes back and says due to temporary probs with the sytem, they can not access my acount info
and no one else seems to be getting that message but me/Us
Steve, it's highly unlikely - if not impossible at all - that you'll get any info over the phone different from the one you get to check online. Also, CSC is not responding to e-mail inquiries. So... if the processing takes long, I guess the only way to get to know something would be by asking for your congressmen/senators help...
i'm almost ready to get on the TRAIN with Wolf and go see my sweet heart till this is all done! I so wished i could!
-
Wow! Congratulations. My fiancé and I were just talking about your case and how awful it must be when it takes that long and now you're approved. That's really great!!!!
-
You ask your congressmen to check on your behalf on the status of your petition after 30 days of processing have passed... I guess that's the only way to find out.

Congratulations!!! Must be a big relief indeed. Good luck for the rest of your Journey.
-
Hi everyone,
We have a question. We've reading some posts where people say their case is on hold at USCIS level because they are in security checks?
Question: How do you know that you are in security checks? Who gives you that information?
-
Yes please!!! Come on USCIS. Do something to get rid of that backlog!!!!!
-
Yes, it is all true.. Got the E-mails today at 8:33 am.
Thanks guys!!!
I am praying for the rest of you!!!
William33 I can't tell you how happy I am for you!
There is hope for us all now!! Especially for those of us who only filed one page of the G-325A (Future filers don't try this trick, but apparently it is not always a disaster and automatic RFE.)
Good luck, and hopefully the rest of the process with go quickly.
Congrats William !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hopefully we'll be right behind you!!!!!!!!
-
I so much agree!!!!! Jabree, I really hope for you that you receive your RFE in the mail soon!!!
