  1. Hello,

I am submitting my green card documents with all of the forms. For the I-130 form, do I need to include an" affidavit of marriage by third party/affidavit of sworn" to prove that the marriage is real? I am submitting a copy of the marriage certificate and a copy of the lease showing tenancy of common residency. Do I still need the third party letter?

  2. My case is nearly similar to you. I called them about should I file both at same time. That representative told me that, filing i765 with i485 will do the job. No need to file OPT as final result will be GC EAD. So I have not filed opt. Just give a call and conform about it.

Set each and every form with require documents separately, to make their job easy. Give cover letter or document lists to each form. Send in bunch using big band or clip it forms separately. Provide them updated copy documents as given in form's instruction. Thats the best way to avoid RFE.

Keep "Check" on top of the related form, clipped with first page. Same with the passport pictures.

    Best of luck

Thank you very much for your response, did you submit along with the I-130 an" affidavit of marriage by third party/affidavit of sworn" to prove that the marriage is real? I am submitting a copy of the marriage certificate a copy of the lease showing tenancy of common residency. Do I still need the third party letter?

  3. Hello,

    1) My current status is F1 and I got married a couple of weeks ago. Now I am submitting my green card documents along with the I-765 form. I want to start working ASAP, and since I am finishing school this week, I want to know if I should apply also for OPT (Optional Practical Training) or, since I am submitting the I-765, my OPT request will be canceled. In the case I can do OPT, which one is faster? OPT or I-765? How long does it take to receive the permit?

    2) For my greencard package, including I-130, i-484, i-864,etc... Do I have to send photos and copies of docs for each of the forms, or just one copy for the whole package? Does the check go with the package too?

    Thank you very much

  4. My current sponsor says that because I am planning on living on my own and I have a prospect sponsor (for school, room and board) they wouldn't want then to still have that legal document active. So, even though there is no type of actual responsibility, there are anyway situations such food stamps and others. Even though obviously I won't be asking for food stamps or requesting help from the government, I want to find out a way to not have them legally responsible for me since that's what they expect from me for not living anymore with them and because they very nicely have helped me. Of course I understand they want to feel comfortable since this is a legal document so I want to (if there is an option) cancel their affidavit of support (I-134)

  5. I came to the US with a J1 visa and I changed my status (here in the US) to an F1 to go to college. My sponsors filled the affidavit of suppor and the I-134 form. I want to change my sponsor, but I don't want to leave any legal responsibility on my original sponsors who signed the I-134. Can I cancel or transfer the responsibilities of signing the I-134 to my new sponsor? Is there a way for my current sponsor to back up and if so, what are the ways for us to do it? Thanks!
