I filed ours just prior to starting this process (as only found out about it then). Received notification a few weeks later to say it had been updated, despite me being over a year late. They are pretty lenient it seems. Like you, I remember researching the consequences it at the time fearing the worst but have not seen any instances where people have got into any trouble. Definitely, a good idea to file, if for no other reason than to tick the box and cop to it.

oh okay. but but My baby is US Citizen, and no need to give info about my baby to USCIS right? but when I look at the NewEditions it is written that:
Part 5. Information About Your Children
Provide information on all of your children. If you need extra space to complete this section, use the space provided in

1.b. Family Name (Last Name)

2. Date of Birth (mm/dd/yyyy)
may be I should include her also and give Birth certificate copy, and hence it is proved.

but it said "12/05/17. Starting 02/19/2018, we will only accept the 12/05/17 edition. Until then, you can use the 12/23/16 edition. You can find the edition date at the bottom of the page on the form and instructions."
so where can I find the old edition.?? The Edition is only accepted after fef19th 2018 right??
