HI GUYS JUST CURIOUS HOW LONG IT TAKES TO GET A CONFIRMATION EMAIL FROM NVC ABOUT THE INTERVIEW. I CALLED NVC THIS MORNING THEY SAID IT TAKES FEW DAYS SO I AM JUST WONDERING HOW MANY DAYS IT TAKE. I SCHEDULE MY MEDICAL NEXT WEEK JUNE 11 SO I AM HOPING TO GET IT BEFORE THAT.

Mine took exactly one week.

After the delay at my husband's interview on Monday, our status went straight to administrative processing. He got his birth certificate sorted and submitted and our status went immediately to issued today! Thank you dwheels and all vjers, I wish you all the best of luck on the rest of your journey!! *hugs*

Thanks everyone for the welcome. I joined this forum because i felt I could use the support...has anyone found this process to be emotionally draining? I am finding myself crying weekly because i just want to be with my husband and start life with him and start a family with him. Why does this process have to drag on so ridiculously long? It's defeating. But on the positive side, we're onto the last step and sure hope we get an interview date this week.

Yes, this whole process is really draining, I can definitely feel it. But like you, I also joined for the emotional support because this forum is filled with people who understand what we are going through. It's hard to talk with real life friends because they don't understand how it feels. They may empathize, but haven't been in our shoes. So, I hope you find peace of mind through the wonderful VJers here, as I have!

Okay phew not a denial. just a delay he just needs to get his BC. I pray it won;t be a major undertaking. And yes if he obtains it and its what the embassy wants he will get the Visa. So hang on. I hope he gets it fast.

Thanks for the reply, as always! Your words really ease my mind. He says it will be another week before he can get a certified copy that's in English. But he's already had to fill out his address for them to send his passport, so that is a good sign, Yay!!

Thank you VJers, welcome to another month! My husband had his interview a few hours ago. He was denied, though, because of a birth certificate issue. It's weird to me because the country-specific PDF from the DoS website said to use a different civil document in place of birth certificate, which is what we did. But the CO from his interview said the civil document wouldn't work, that he needed a birth certificate.

So it seems the birth certificate is the only reason he was denied. He is running around the city to obtain it to submit it now. My question is: once he submits it, does anyone know whether or not his visa will be approved then and there?

Hey folks...I read an article by a woman named "Kim Komando" this morning. She is a US radio personality - focusing on high-tech.

Her article said the IRS had been hacked - and that they had shut down the "request for transcript" section - it's been down for about 3 weeks now.

IRS transcripts website got hacked and they have the online transcripts temporary disabled. You can currently only get it via mail.

Oh! That's what happened!

The last time I checked the Online Transcript, they didn't have my 2014 available yet. My husband's interview is next Monday, I'm concerned if I don't provide the 2014 transcript. Even if it's available now, I'm worried getting it via mail wouldn't arrive in time. I've already scanned and emailed him my 2014 tax return, but without W-2 because I only had foreign income in 2014. Does anyone think this will be an issue??

Ikr it's creepy.but I can't access my transcript online, I'm in Vienna now till July.My brother filed for me and he's saying he can't help me get it outside the US.I doubt IRS would mail it overseas if I request via mail.in a limbo now

Ive been checking the IRS website for my transcript too. All you need to do is log in and print it,, but the online transcript page has been unavailable for a few days now. Site maintenance, I believe. I remember seeing the message saying it should be up and running again on Wednesday 5/27. Check back tomorrow!

I got my interview letter today too, 7 days after interview was scheduled and confirmed by phone. Guess they really are sending interview emails in a batch today!!

Hello all does anyone know how long it takes to get you interview confirmation email after they have scheduled your interview ??? thanks in advance

I don't have an answer for you, but I would like to know as well. I confirmed my interview date by phone last Thursday, and I called again last night asking the same question. The rep I spoke to told me to expect it some time this week, and to call again if I don't receive it by Friday. I may call every day just to see if another rep says something different. Maybe it's just as someone in a previous post said, that NVC sends things out in batches. Let's hope it will come soon!!

Still haven't received the interview email.

I called NVC today and my husbands interview got scheduled today for June 1st!! Our CC was 4/13/15. I'm super excited but also find it suspicious a lot of people who called, the rep says the interview was just scheduled that day.. Coincidence???

That's great!! I need to follow your footsteps again, I'll start calling tomorrow asking if our interview has been scheduled yet! I wonder when they will send you the interview email?? Does that happen a lot, when people call in and receive their interview date before getting the email?? So inefficient of NVC.. ?

i got a checklist for 2014 taxes, but my husband hasn't filed them yet, he requested an extension

he will send them in the next few days. my question is - how long it will take for tax transcript to become available on irs website to download?

what should we do?

I remember reading somewhere it takes about 4 weeks for transcripts to appear on the IRS website and available for download. In my experience, it was close to 3 1/2 weeks, and I'm waiting now again so my husband can bring it to the interview, which hasn't been scheduled yet!!

Are we submitting information on CC to interview here as well? I thought the CC to interview thread had a separate spreadsheet for that. I don't mind contributing to either or both, I was just wondering..

Last week I called on day 42 and the report told me to wait 45 days before expecting activity. On day 46 I called and they put me on supervisor review. And today is day 50 wowzah!!

Today is day 46, called NVC and they put me on supervisor review. According to this thread, I hope to have good news (or a checklist... but I'm staying positive) next week!

The representative also mentioned that my application should have been reviewed a while back, and she's putting me on supervisor review so my application doesn't get left behind. It still doesn't make sense to me how some people's applications get passed over..

Wow I reallt wonder if it's really that easy. Either way thanks for the tip, I bet it doesn't hurt to call the embassy just to try and schedule it by ourselves!

mickymicky--- not sure what's going on. I called and had to wait 1 hr and 15 minutes and got through with no problem: the lady added my email and reviewed my ds-261.

Yeah I had that problem Wednesday. It dropped about 3 or 4 times as well but I waited about 5 minutes then called again and waited until the end of the prompt each time to press the number and finally it didn't drop that time.

I've been calling NVC for the past hour. I've gotten through 3 times without having to call over and over again, and put on hold, but each time, the line goes dead and my call is dropped. Is anyone else having a problem like this?

UPDATE!!

So i called in yesterday and i spoke to a nice rep, she explained that i was put under supervisor review on march 31, and she said that as of yesterday 04/02 she saw some activity, meaning that they touched my file, they sent a email down to the department that does the reviewing of the documents, asking them what is going on, so she guessed that by the middle of next week i should get a cc or a checklist, so!! to all my 02/23 sd's call in and demand for your documents to be reviewed by a supervisor and call every day/ i am calling today once again, just to make sure she wasn't lying.

i am tired of all of this #######.

I'm your 2/23 scan date buddy, thanks for the advice! I remember other users saying supervisor review needs an additional 45 days, so I haven't mentioned it when I call nvc. It's interesting (not really, more like frustrating) when reps keep giving out different information. But I'm glad to hear you had good news from your phone call, and hoping that rep wasn't lying! I'll be giving another call when I'm off work tonight *fingers crossed*

Everytime I call NVC today, I keep getting the recording about large volume of calls and to try my call again later. How is it everyone else is getting through? ?

I got through twice today. Just keep trying over and over again!

me too i called 40 time till i got some one on the phone u have to keep trying

129 times yesterday til I finally got through and at 85 right now and still haven't.

I was able to get through twice today, but I don't think I called that many times!

If it makes any difference, I got through around 3pm EST and 9:30pm EST.

Scan date 2/23/15.....4 of us still waiting. Hoping that we will soon hear something.

After being on hold for almost an hour, "Matt" says my case still hasn't been reviewed, same speech, says it's "not possible" for others with scan dates after ours to have CC's, says I can give him those case numbers to double check for me, blah blah blah. Congratulations to those who got their CC's within a month, that's amazing! Wish me luck, I'll be calling again tomorrow!
