  1. They never "fixed" the issue. Finally, after I they returned one of the initial packages with their stamp proving that they had recieved them 5 months earlier. At that point the congressional aid seemed to get some traction. It has still taken 4 more months and they now processed one child, then the other is taking forever! But their documents are almost identical so go figure.

    I was told by a supervisor that even with my family being stuck in a conflict zone and getting a USCIS expedite, that NVC could not expedite (the embassy said they will expedite but that it must complete NVC first).

    However, I was accidently sent someone else's case info at one point, and there was a supervisor personally handling their case and they were allowing documents to get preference (sent directly to the supervisor).

  2. This is driving me crazy.

    They lost my paperwork 3 times. Turned out that they seperated the processing for my wife (married 12 years!) and children, and then kept moving documents to my wife's case which is already at the embassy and then asking for the children again.

    Isn't 9 months excessive? I am even working with a congressman and they seem powerless.

    Has anyone else had theirs take this long?
