No one from F1 yet. I called the NVC and they told me my case does not have interview date yet.

While F2B 26 May 2011 got his interview letter yesterday, which mean F2B is moving in June, and F1 is still standing.

I planned to opt out for F2B but I heard that NVC will take at least 2-3 months for processing, so if F1 moves faster, my case will be stucked in process and delayed. It is so difficult to decide.

OmG, 3months to process? I better stay where I am. Did you find that out from NVC, or its just hear say? Will ask my mom to call and verify.

    Hello,

My priority date is october 2011. I received the welcome letter last october (2017). I would like to move to the USA in summer 2019, my son will then turn 21 and will fisnish his three years degree here in engineering. I think now the visa bulletin is dealing with march 2011.

So you mean, I won't have any interview before october anyway. Lets say, i wait until september to process payment (visa paymment) and then form 260. could i wait some time before filing and sending my documents and affidavit documents. I really need to go to the usa, as i have been waitng for years, but now that it comes to real, i really need to get organized and don't want to rush thing. Especilly for my son, as french degree don't have any euivalent in the USA, but he will manage to have a third year aborad if we have the possibility to wait and then he could make an exchange with a good university in the USA.

Thanks for your time and reply.

Did u say u received welcome letter in Oct last year and by now u have not paid your visa fee compiled your documents to send to them and filed your ds260 form online? You might end up causing the delay for yourself, cos the sooner u pay ur fees, combine your civil documents and send to them, the better for you so they can review them fast and you can get case complete.

My P.D is July 2011 under F1 family based category as well. I received my welcome letter in June 2017. We followed the instructions paid the visa fees for myself and my 2kids, my mom sent all the civil documents by September we got case complete.  The same month I received my welcome letter I didn't know I was 2months pregnant with my 3rd baby. My boyfriend and I were thinking I might end up having the baby in America hoping the process will move faster, but after the bulletin retrogressed, I didn't know I was going to have my baby in my home country. Fast forward to 2018 Feb I had my son. My mom wrote NVC, he was included, we paid everything, Filled his ds260 form online and my mom sent all documents to NVC. We did All in the same Month of Feb. He has been included now. What we are just waiting for now is our interview letter.

So in essence, the sooner u get things done, the better. Let them know u are the one anxious to be with your family abroad. Do your own part early and wait for them to do theirs. Don't be the one causing the delay for yourself. And keep checking the Bulletin to know the month they are. Cos once your case becomes current and you have not concluded your paper work, your interview date will not be scheduled, and u may not meet up with the deadline of summer 2019.

    All the best.

I forgot to add it takes NVC to 9-11weeks to review your documents. Make sure u send in all your documents to avoid a Checklist. That could cause a delay as well.

    Hello,

Sorry I just created my profile yesterday. I am expecting a Family visa, F1, as a relative over 21 y-o and not married. I have been applied since 2011. Now my son is studying here at the university and  doesn't want to waste his past years. So I need to know if there is an expiration date between each step. I received my nvc letter in november. I mean we were waiting for years and i want to plan our arrival in america for the best of us. I know we have a maximum of 6 month to leave our country once we succeed the ambassy interview...which is all of sudden to short for us. So I read somewhere in this forum we have a maximum of one year in each step is that correct? Thank you

Which Month is Your 2011 priority date? Because your case has to be current before you can receive your IL.

Thanks, I just wanted to be sure. Because they keep saying bring original document and they did not make mention of cases where your original document is with them.

Yes I am on Nairaland as well, I posted a question to the VO on the immigrant thread a while ago. Are you on that thread as well?

Yes i am. Whats your monicker on nairaland? I even have a topic on nairaland at the "NVC stage of familybased visa processing."

Hi everyone, got my interview letter this morning.

    Priority date: 06 March 2011

    CC: 09/Sept/

    Interview notification: 02/Dec

    Interview date: 24 Jan

    Location: Lagos

    Final lap.

N.B Please did anyone else here submit an original document to NVC? I have my original birth certificate with NVC I'd like to know if there is someone else here with something similar. Or if someone in the past could share a little knowledge on what happened at the interview?

Answer to your question, if your original birth certificate is with NVC they will forward all document to the embassy. So on the day of your interview it will be given to you. That was what happened to my mum years ago

. But make photocopies too, cos they will demand for photocopies of your documents.
