Hello everybody,
I'm updating this spreadsheet:
I am IR-1 Visa beneficiary.
Original NVC Scan Date: March 5, 2015
NVC Checklist Scan Date: April 23, 2015NVC Case Completed Date: May 21, 2015 (28 days after checklist Scan Date),
confirmed over the phone from NVC customer service representative on May 21, 2015
Also, the third N/A showed up on website, being changed from "Paid" to N/A on May 21, 2015.
Received NVC Email confirmation for Case Completed on: May 29, 2015.
Interview was scheduled on June 2, 2015 (I found out over the phone) (12 days after CC).
Received NVC Email with P4 letter (Interview specific instructions) on June 9, 2015 (7 days after Interview schedule was done)
CEAC status shows the case is "Ready".
Medical check-up was done on June 23, 2015.
Interview took place yesterday, July 2, 2015 at 1:00pm at US Embassy in Bucharest / Romania. Result: APPROVED. Yeah!
POE will be between 1-3 months from now ... Yeah! Finally! ...
Good luck to all VJ members with your cases! Have patience, I know that this process takes time, trust in God, and one day this journey will be history.

Hi
I got interview letter only email will they send me through mail as well? Or i just have to print and take to embassy.
Another question NVC scheduled my interview and email the p4 letter. Do i still need to contact embassy for interview or i am good with that letter.
Your response will be appreciated
Thanks
Hi, even if you got the interview letter P4 from NVC, it's recommended to write an email to the Embassy, and let them know about your case and scheduled interview made by NVC; ask them if they have any additional info for you that you need to follow ... Each Embassy have specific procedure to follow related to interviews, such as registration for passport delivery ... etc, so I think it's better to contact them; they will reply to your email, usually within 3 (working) days ...

Help!!! I havent been able to find a single doctor to give me the Tdap shot and my medical exam is tomorrow morning at 8:30am!!! Dr Cheema told me i need to get it before the exam...what's going to happen with me showing up not getting it done?! Will i fail the exam?!
Hi! I don't think you have to worry about vaccines ... I done my medical checkup at a clinic/physician accepted by US Embassy specially for US Immigrant visa purpose, here in Bucharest, Romania. The doctor will check your vaccination records you are going to provide (if you have), and based on age he/she will determine if you need any extra vaccination; if you need, like you said, you need "Tdap shot", the clinic/physician where you are going to do your medical checkup, should be able to give you the required shot (vaccination), against the value of the vaccine, which you have to pay for.
The best think to do is to call the clinic where you go for medical and ask if can be provided to you the vaccination you need; in most countries, these clinics which are approved by US Embassies to do medical for visa, are able to provide also the vaccination.
Good luck!

Praise GOD! I have finally recieved my interview date after being in this process for almost a year, what a great feeling! I have been following this thread for so long and have been so envious of all the interview dates, I am so happy this is finally happening!
I have a few questions to prepare for the interview:
1. For financial evidence (i-864) I sent the original copy to the NVC, and I do not know the date I had indicated when originally signing, does this matter? Does the US consulate actually check the dates?
2. For tax returns for myself - I only have 1040 (not W-2) as I am working abroad, and I have a copy in which I got from my accountat, is this ok?
3. For tax returns from my sponser - Do I need the original 1040 and W-2? Or will a copy be a ok for the interview? Do I need his original signature on the i-864?
Also-
Any advice on to what happens after the interview so I know how to prepare?
Thanks for all your help, this is such a supportive community and I am grateful!
Hi,
Out of my understanding with this process, I think:
1. Since you sent original copy of I-864 to NVC, they will most likely forwarded to Embassy where your interview will take place; check the P4 letter,
which is explaining in details what documents you need in original, and what you need in photocopy; to be safe, you should take a copy with you ...
2. If you worked abroad and have only 1040, take it with you and explain why you don't have a W-2
3. From sponsor, I think that a copy of 1040 and W-2 are good enough, but definitely you will NEED HIS ORIGINAL SIGNATURE on his i-864; so, contact your sponsor and ask him to mail you i-864 WITH HIS ORIGINAL SIGNATURE, if you don't have this yet
This is only by my understanding, don't take it as granted ... (i am in the same boat as you are) ... check also with other people ... including contacting the Embassy where you have scheduled your interview ...
I hope it helps ...
Good luck!

So, myself and others in my situation have to be patient and wait ...

Hello everybody on VJ ... I just hang-up with NVC ten minutes ago, from where I received great news:
My case was closed today. Hoooray!
... and I just need to wait for email confirmation and schedule for
Embassy's interview ...
Website still shows only 2 N/A's ... probably it will change to 3 N/A soon ...
I've been waiting for IR-1 Visa
Original Scan Date: March 5, 2015
Checklist Scan Date: April 23, 2015Case Closed Date: May 21, 2015 (28 days after checklist Scan date)
From experience I got from VJ-ers ... presently it takes approximately 22-30 days to complete a case.
I wish "Good Luck" to other people which are in line for "Case Closed" and interview schedule.
If somebody's case is not close yet, just be patient for about 4 weeks, then call NVC to find out news about your case.
Everybody's case would be complete as soon as is possible ... hopefully
-
Congrats faisal.sial for your CC. My SD is April 23, so I'm expecting the CC today or tomorrow ... cross fingers
I think that interview schedule is average 1 week after CC ...
-
I'm just updating this thread:

Original Scan Date: March 5, 2015

Congrats too all of those who got "Case Complete" and "Interview Schedule Date" recently.

Original Scan Date: March 5, 2015
Checklist Scan Date: April 23, 2015I'm hoping that my case will be closed no later than next week and
Embassy schedule interview no later than the end of this month.
Hopefully interview date will be in June.
Good luck to all of you with your case!

Thank you CourMad for your reply.
To "just87" if is asking me (Sangitam) when was my Scan date, the answer is:
Original Scan Date: March 5, 2015
Checklist Scan Date: April 23, 2015
-
Thank you CourMad for reply. It's interesting that should be 2 N/A under AOS section ... It means that 1 N/A refers to AOS and 2nd N/A refers to Financial Evidence, even though looks like it is only one section ...
-
Hello everybody, ... I've noticed that people are talking about "3 N/A's" for the case to be "completed", but I've seen that one "N/A" could be under "Affidavit of Support Documents / Financial Evidence" section and second "N/A" could be under "Civil Documents". "Affidavit of Support Fee" and "IV Fee" shows "PAID" and "IV Application" shows "COMPLETED", as well as DS-261 (CHOICE OF ADDRESS AND AGENT" shows "COMPLETED". My question is: Where the 3rd "N/A" should be shown? ... under what section? ...
Waiting for an IR-1 Visa case to be completed.
Original Scan Date: March 5, 2015
Checklist Scan Date: April 23, 2015
Thank you in advance for reply.

During Immigrant Visa Interview at a foreign US Embassy (IR-1 Visa), is it mandatory for the applicant to show Sponsor's or Joint-Sponsor's “Original proof of citizenship” (such as US Passport or Certificate of Naturalization), if at the time of interview, the Sponsor or Joint-Sponsor is physically in the USA? (Let’s assume that Sponsor or Joint-Sponsor needs his “Original” Passport with him all the time, in order to be able to travel abroad in case of emergency, and/or is concerned to send his “Original” Passport or Certificate of Naturalization abroad to the applicant to be taken to the Immigrant Visa interview)? ... or, a clear color photocopy of US Sponsor's or Joint-Sponsor's Passport or Certificate of Naturalization is enough as proof of US citizenship?
(In fact, it’s not easy for USCIS, NVC and/or an US Embassy, being U.S. Government Org., once they have the “Social Security Number”, “Alien Number” and/or “US Passport Number”, taken from a clear photocopy of Sponsor’s or Joint-Sponsor’s US Passport, Certificate of Naturalization and other documents submitted with I-864, such as: photocopies of Income Tax, Social Security … etc., to figure out if the Sponsor or Joint-Sponsor is or isn’t a US citizen, as he claims?)
