My 2 years old son was required to do medical test before scheduled interview in Lagos, Nigeria. Can my son walk-in to Kamorass Clinic for the medical test or do I have to make appointment for him with the clinic?

I need your advice, I brought my fiancee to USA through the K1 visa (I-129F) and we splitted without any formal marriage.She dumped my son on my lap and moved to another state with another man, cool with me but left my son with me. .I need your help on which form do I need to file for him and if Immigration can accept him bcos he is already overstay now.. I am a US Citizen. I called Immigration 1-800 but those guys just reading from book/internet update to me without apply some sense to it. Does he have to go back home or file for him here and if to file for him here, what forms????????

I am trying to get information as per what forms, do I need to make my son to be legal in the States?

My fiancee and I didn't get alone since she moved to States and I brought her tickets to go back home, she refused and left without the son. I called immigration 1-800 and those can't even see or read thier own palm, different stories with different customer service.

My fiancee and my step-son came to America 3 weeks ago through an I-129F I filed for them and she needs to go back home bcos her father was seriously ill and she is the only child. She is going back next week but she wants to leave her 2-years son with me which I have no problem since my sister would be taking care of him, how can I make the son legal or what form should file for him ? If need be I can adopt him. I already filed I-130 for the mother to come back to the State.

Long time since I posted on this site bcos I was busy with new job for the past 2 months.

Well, my finance went for the interview this morning in Lagos and to God be the glory, she got it but with lot of questions for 7 minutes.

Picking up the visa later this week, thanks guys and we won't make it without your timely advices and suggestion.

I scanned my NVC and USImmigration approval to my finacee, she used it to get interview date. Once your information already loaded to their system, they would response to you right away.

I emailed Lagos too 3 weeks ago and it took them 2 weeks to get back to me, after they got my NVC.

Ive searched and searched but havent found one single store where any nigerian foodstuffs or whatsoever is sold.

You do not require large amounts of money in your bank account in order to get approved. All they want to see is that there have been regular deposits and regular activity on the account.

We had very little funds in our checking account at the time of our interview, but we had the 12 months of statements and the bank letter to show that it was an active account.

Just got a call from my finacee and interview day as been set for late January.

So you can go there any day to pick up the packages 3 and 4.

I sent the consulate an email asking them to notify me when our case had been uploaded, ( give them the case#) I then got an email from them, to let me know my case had been updated and that the packets could be picked up anyday but Friday. Justice went on a Monday and did not have any problems, he did however say that it took ALL day. Good Luck !!!!!

1) The service centers sends stuff to the NVC in batches. It could be a month (but usually two to three weeks) before your I-129F gets there...

2) The petition expiry date can be extended by the consulate if you are actively pursuing the case...

So relax.. the gears are turning.. you're dealing with a huge lumbering bureaucracy.. you'll get a lot farther if you just sit back, relax and let the process move at it's own glacial pace...

Now I'm getting concerned and freaking out. We received our NOA2 Sept 21. I called NVC, they never receive any file from USCIS on our behalf and said it can be 3 months wait to arrive at NVC!!!! The NOA2 Notice had a Valid from date 09/21/06 to 01/20/2007 The 3 months would delay or cut 3/4 of the validity time! I thought we were done with TSC ignorance.

the time to come to the embassy is any buiness day except on friday, and enquiry time starts 11am monday to thursday. i like what you are doing, giving people information which is better than walking blindly.thank you.

Be informed that if you do not receive the instruction packet at least four weeks before that date, you can come in any business day except Friday, by 11:00 AM, join the inquiry line and pick up a packet. You need to come with a copy of this email and the Notice of Approval.
