Congrats. Finally you got your interview letter. I think it depends on case by case basis. I did apply based on 3 year rule and the interviewer didnt ask for tax documents. However I read several times on this forum that its always a good idea to take ur tax documents with you even though you applied based on 5 year rule and not 3 year rule.

Finally got my interview appointment letter for Oct 20. How important is it to take last 5 years IRS docs if filing on 5 year basis? Have they been asking in Houston during interviews?

I am just naturalized in H-town. Compared to a year or so its very fast in Houston now. It took me just 6 months. This is decent time in US considering how many people naturalize in Houston (2710 on my big day). I have seen people got it in 5 months too. But right now 6-7 months, if ur background is clean, is a good bet.

Happy to inform you guys that I am a USA citizen now. Woohoo what a journey. Thanks for all your help. Houston had a 2710 people from around 97 countries naturalized today. Was a long ceremony but interesting at times. We reached the venue at 8 AM and exited at 11:20 AM. Time to apply for my passport now.

I have been keeping tabs on your update. Its odd that you are the only Houstonian who didnt get any update so far. I would say schedule an info pass. The only thing I can think of is you are stuck in background checking cycle. Good luck. Keep us posted.

Still haven't heard anything since my fingerprinting appointment. Didn't even get an in line for interview update. What to do?

Lemontrees: The only thing you can do right now is wait. I know I will be as tensed as you if I have the same situation however there is nothing you can do right now as it is still in the Houston processing time frame. All the people you contact gonna say is wait. Wait a month or two and then if you still don't hear from them you can take further actions like info pass, congressmen, etc.. In the mean time who knows they may have already mailed your new interview letter. Good luck.

I just sent tax copies from turbotax and I passed the interview. I did take transcripts to the interview just in case but they never asked.

Just like you, here in Houston today the officer did not ask my wife for ANY documents and got her citizenship and her ceremony will be on June 23. For those in Houston, let me tell you the Houston office in the Greenspoint area on Northpoint is a dump. Filthy. Filthy bathrooms.

1) If you notice on the processing times it notes on the top of "form name" these dates are present as of March 31st. So what we see are not latest but as of march 31st. It kinda makes sense if you relate to march 31st.

2) I personally don't think its based on country however it will depend on various other factors like your name, back ground checking timeline, etc...

just re-read your post again. Your interpretation is right when it comes to green card processing through employment however there is no such quota for family based GCs and Citizenship applications of either kind.

I drove on hwy 6 right next to this center this morning. It looked dry in that area so it should be fine. I will also look at the center driving back home and let u know if anything looks suspicious.

I have filled my aplication on march 11 and i filed that i have no childrens with my wife or anyone . But on the april 20th i got a daugter with other girl, not my wife . And im wondering now do i have to bring birth cert of my child and do i have to mention that on my interview that i have a child with different girl while im still maried. Thank you

Houston Folks if we are lucky we should expect our interview letters starting next month. I just saw on a different tracker website that a person who applied in Jan got interview letter this month for June interview. That's like 5 month interview and 6 month oath. That's super fast for Houston considering recent timelines of minimum 8 months. Hopefully we will get ours done sooner too. I will keep you guys posted on H'town happenings.
