  1. Got the following email at about 4:30pm today. I think my green card is approved! yay!

    ................

    Receipt Number: SRCxxxxxxxxxx

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Your Case Status: Card/ Document Production

On May 15, 2015, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number SRCxxxxxxxxx, and will mail it to the address you gave us. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

This step applies to applications that result in an applicant receiving a card (such as a "green card") or other document (such as a naturalization certificate, employment authorization document, travel document, or advance parole). Applications will be in this step from the time the order to produce the card/document is given until the card/document is produced and mailed to the applicant. You can expect to receive your card/document within 30 days of the approval of your application. If you do not receive your document, please contact our National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.

  2. Hi everyone today i got a mail from USCIS and I didn't understand if this is a RFE or what should i do.

I did not send with my Package Form I-693 because i thought i can submit it later. Did i something wrong or what do i need to do?

    The notice says:

    Notice to Applicant

An initial review of evidence submitted with your Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status determined that Form I-693, Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record, has not been submitted or has been submitted and is not sufficient for the following reason(s):

    - A completed and signed I-693 was submitted: or all pages of Form I-693 are not present or of the same revision date.

You will be required to submit a valid, completed, and signed form I-693 at a later date. Please follow these instructions:

    - If you receive an interview notice in the mail, you must bring your updated Form I-693 to your interview appointment.

    - If your case does not require an interview, you will receive a Request for Evidence for Form I-693 with instructions on where to send Form I-693

You should have submitted the I-693. Looks like you should get your medical examination done and take the report to your interview. If they waive your interview, they will send you instructions about where to send the form. Its typically valid for 1 year.

  3. Walkin Biometrics at the Boston ASC failed. The supervisor said " we have not done walk-ins for almost a year now". He ticked on the rescheduling tab of the appointment letter and asked me to mail it to Virginia! I asked if I can move up my appointment to 8am (from 12pm) on the appointment date. He was obliging and gave me a form to fill up and said " bring this form and show up at 7:45am. I will make sure you get in and out in a hurry!". He also wrote 8am on my appointment letter and signed off on it....

At least now I don't have to reschedule my meetings on the 22nd.

  4. That is great news! Are you going to walk in or you will wait for the appointment date? I am hoping this is my lucky week too.

Don't know yet. I might have a meeting that day. If that meeting gets confirmed (which it will by Friday), then I might try a walk in early next week. If not, I might just stick to the appointment date. As far as I understand, doing a walk-in does not save you any processing time.

  5. Question how much time was there between receiving the letter and actual biometrics appointment ? And can you reschedule the appointment if you can't make it?

I'm going out of countryon thursday and only be back on the 14th. (I have L1 visa so wasn't necessary to file for approval to travel)

I received the NOA 1 hardcopies yesterday

I think its hard to predict a timeline for the Biometrics appointment. I got my NOA1 hardcopies on Mar 21st and I am still waiting for my biometrics appointment (10 days and counting!). Did you send your package to the Texas Service Center? They are way behind schedule.

You should be able to reschedule, but the only way to know if you have been scheduled is to get hard copy of the appointment letter.

  6. Yet to get my biometrics appointment.

Online status says " On March 16, 2015, we accepted the fingerprint fee for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status. Our Texas Service Center location is working on your case. We mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice."

Not sure if this means they have sent the biometrics letter or not.

    --------------------------------

March 12th - I-485 package received at the Dallas Lockbox.

March 17th - Got email and text notifications for I-485, I-131 and I-765 (one notification for each form)

March 21st - Got the hard copies of NOA for I-485, I-131 and I-765.

  7. I'm kind of worried. We sent in our package on March 13th to the Chicago Lockbox, USPS priority mail. It was shown delivered on March 17th, I have been waiting for some kind of notifications (text, emails, hard-copy, cleared check) for either me or my husband. Nothing yet.

I used the PO box address and the 9 digit zip code, hopefully USPS didn't deliver them to the wrong place...

You should hear back this week. I would not worry about it until the end of this week. Sometimes USCIS does not send an email/text. Wait for the hard copy for the notices.

  8. Congrats to everyone!

I'm still sitting waiting for my NOA's! They cashed my checks last week, but I still haven't received text/email notice or anything in the mail.......I'm really starting to worry now :(

    Hello Chewy,

In my case, I got the email 1 day (17th March) before the checks were cleared (18th March) and the hard copies were mailed on the day the checks were cleared (18th March).

My understanding is that sometimes USCIS does not send you an email text, but they should have mailed your NOAs. I would wait till the end of this week before starting to worry!

    Hope this helps!

  9. Got the hard copies of NOAs for I-485, I-131 and I-765 yesterday. However, I am unable to check the status of the application online. Hopefully I will get my notice for Biometrics soon.

March 12th - I-485 package received at the Dallas Lockbox.

March 17th - Got email and text notifications for I-485, I-131 and I-765 (one notification for each form)

March 21st - Got the hard copies of NOA for I-485, I-131 and I-765.

  10. Hello all,

My I-485 package along with I-765, I-131 and I-485 got delivered to the Texas lockbox at 3:39am on March, 11th, 2015 by USPS priority mail. I did file the G-1145 along with my application.

I am yet to get any notifications about my application. Should I be worried? My check has not yet been cashed. When can I expect to get notified about the acceptance of my application?

    Thanks,
