  1. Hello everyone,

I submitted an I-751 application for my wife back in December 8 2017. A week later, we received an I-757 notice of receipt. Another week later, she received her bio-metric appointment and went in for a finger printing. So far so good. Then in March of 2018, we received a letter that her green card is extended for an additional 6 months due to high volume making the total extension time equal to 18 months. In April 9th 2018, the status online changes to " Case Was Received At My Local Office". Since then we have not heard anything at all. I checked the processing times online for the Vermont center, which is where I sent the petition (I live in GA) and it shows that currently they are serving the December 8th 2018 priority date. I am getting nervous since her extension on the green card will expire on September 1st. I tried to call the USCIS but they are not helpful at all. Any ideas or suggestion please? I really appreciate it.

  2. Hello,

I know this question has been asked on the forums before, but the answers I found were still unclear. I am currently in the process of filling out the I-864 form for my wife. Certain fields do not apply to the case, such as the Postal Code, Family Member Fields, Interpreter fields and the person preparing the form fields. The problem is that some of the fields are locked, so they have to be blank. Other fields, such as the A-Number fields do not allow anything but a 9-digit number. Others do not allow the "/" so I cannot type N/A. The instructions states that it's ok to leave blank fields, but everyone on VJ advises against it. I am currently not sure what to do. I considered filling out what I can digitally on the computer and writing the N/A's by hand afterwards. However, according to the instructions, if the form is typed on a computer, then the will use to generated 2-D barcode to scan the form and it will ignore any handwritten fields. Should I just ditch the computer and fill everything out by hand? That would suck because typing is so much more reliable. any advice is appreciated.

    Cheers
