  1. Send it!..Do not wait for a checklist. Send the police certificate with a copy of your AOS bar code sheet. If you wait for them to send you a checklist you can delay your process by weeks or months. I have heard of other VJ members taking documents to the interview, but for the safe side send it to NVC.

  2. hi. When i got case complete i found out through an email with the interview appointment. And in my husbands case he did not have to bring pictures to the vac appntmt nor money.

    .

What about the vaccination shots, he didn't get vaccinations the day of his medical?

  3. Thanks for your input, it is highly appreciated. Now, money? Why will he need to bring money? I paid for all of the forms already. AOS bill, and the IV bill, are already paid.. Please get back at me as soon as you get a chance, thanks ☺️

The money is in reference to the vaccination shots he will get or need at the point of his medical exam. Each vaccination has a price and are required by U.S laws. It is recommendable to bring your vaccination history records in order to get the necessary vaccination required by U.S laws if he does not have them.

  4. Good morning!..

I know how crazy NVC can be, but have you tried tracking the 3 n/a's on the ceac website? Link is below.

    https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx

    Also,

About translating documents, you do not have to translate any documents,& i was told this straight from a rep over at NVC. I sent in all my documents as is and got a speedy case complete. At the point of interview, the lady who interviewed us had no problem reading all the documents in Spanish.

    Lastly,

For the date of VAC appointment, he will only need the following:

    Passport

    DS260 Conformation Page

    Cedula

    Interview Letter (Package 4)

    4 Passport style pictures

    Money

    Hope this helped :)

  5. I am, because at least it's something, I wonder what their descision will be and what I should start getting ready, I want to be ready as soon as that letter arrives

I have been told that you can appeal the decision the consulate made at the point of interview once the case is back with USCIS. You can have a lawyer write an appeal letter stating the reason why for the appeal and then submit all evidence you have supporting it.

  6. No I haven't, I didnt know that was possible to do, I am aware that they can review ds-261 over the phone but don't know about ds-260. DO YOU THINK I CAN DO THAT?

I paid my DS260 fee on 03/06. The actual DS260 was not submitted till 04/07. My original scan date was 03/20. On 04/15 I was suppose to get a case complete and instead received a checklist, i asked the rep if it was due to my DS260 being submitted just a couple of days ago, and she informed me that the ds260 was not reviewed yet, but can be taken to the interview. You are correct, the DS261 can be reviewed by an agent over the phone, but you can also ask the update on your DS260.

  7. Yes, you must send both AOS bar code sheet and Document Sheet. The AOS bar code sheet is used at NVC to scan into the system that your package has arrived with all the financial documents listed on the document sheet. The document sheet is used to inform you to place all documents in the order listed. When you pay the IV fee, that letter also includes a bar code sheet. Once you pay the AOS fee you can send all documents ( Financial & Supporting) all in one package but please don't forget to include the AOS bar code sheet.

  10. They still haven't opened my second fee up and my sponsor just needs to be a household member instead -_-

I was EP, with a scan date of April 2nd .

wow!!..so you got a checklist for the IV fee and your joint sponsor needs to be a household member? Please correct me if I'am wrong.

You should speak to a supervisor, i have seen members being able to pay that fee at the point of interview. Also, joint sponsor does not need to necessarily a household member.
