I wonder if someone is able to advise me on my question of " Is the "Residency Card" satisfied at the issue of the first FLR (M)?"
Thanks for help offered.
Yes and no as you will have fulfilled the 1st part of getting the FLR (M) done but you will need to get her biometrics done and get the card, once that is done you have satisfied.

Unfortunately no, we didn't get a visa. A few days ago we got an email informing us of this but they still don't answer anything about our passports (they have them since March). Hopefully we'll get this sorted soon and be able to move on with our lives.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has helped us and supported us during this whole process.
Sad to hear, as you said get your life back on track and hopefully if you enter for 2017 it works out for you all.

Thanks Susie!
In fact our case changed to "READY" on the 13th of July, however, we still have no answers and, even though we are hopeful, there is a feeling of despair.
Your opinion is something that's keeping our hope up but, do you know until when we can get answers? Is it the end of September or earlier?
PedroR, have been thinking about you and was wondering did you finally get a DV before the 30/09/15 cut off?

Hi Susie - thanks so much for the advice. I will NOT be travelling. Getting my greencard is far too important to risk for a short holiday at home.
Wise decision, it's not worth the risk taking the trip.
-
I would sacrifice not going back home for another year for the sake of the green card but alas your choice. What is important to you? Too many variables in going home l think.

Well, I guess the first and the last reply to my question is from you Suzie. . I appreciate all the assistance you provide people like me who are new to all this. I did try for DV 2016 but nothing came through. I guess I will keep trying over and over now since I got selected the very first time I put the application in. I've just moved to Australia for work and it seems like a nice place but definitely not quite as happening as the US but please do wish me luck and thank you again!
Keep applying, you never know!! Just keep doing what you doing and keep a casual look at what's happening on the thread and future applications whilst the programme is still alive.

That's why l asked about them being married or not. As soon as you mentioned him having an interview but going as single......l knew something was up.Thanks Biggie&Sussie. No he's not yet married, DS 260 is already in and has already gotten 2nd notification letter as well for interview. He's worried about this.
As SusieQQQ mentioned above if he goes in as single, its going to be long long wait to get his partner in. He will have to be a US citizen.
If it's a genuine relationship and time is available he needs to get married, amend the DS260 and provide proof of a genuine relationship, pics, communication......etc at the interview
-
Thanks for your swift response. He has signed in his ds 260 already as single applicant for 2015.
So what's the plan with his partner. Are they married?
-
Hi everyone,
Does anyone have an idea of this, a friend of mine who was selected for DV 2015 as a single applicant and will be interviewed in a few months from now and then put in a re-entry for last year DV 2016 as a couple, is this going to affect his interview?
It is no problem but can l ask if he/she has added his/her partner on the DS260 for the DV2015 interview?
If not it needs to be done asap!!

Some embassies use the "host system" and some need to see funds or support docs.in US cosulate in Casablanca, Morocco
The onus is on you to prove you will not become a public charge. Bank statements with 15000USD for a single person is good. If you have equity in a property that is also good.
If you have friends in the US, get them to fill in an affidavit of support, form I-134.
-
what I'm trying to say is that i will have a job in less than a month when i get to the US. what I'm asking is: what is the amount of money that I need to show at the visa interveiw.
May l ask where you are doing your interview?

Hello Susie & Upkilo
I went this morning to the address of Custom and borders protection, General Aviation Building in Miami, their were alot of people, but our names were at a list and a kind lady took our files and medical and personal photos, after 30 min she came back with an officer and she ask about my mobile number and the address, and she came back again after 10 minutes, she took our finger prints and return our passports with the I-551 temporary green card )))))) she was very helpful and kind with us. so now we are officially residents ))
Great news and thank you for letting us know!!!
-
Congratulations!!

Unfortunately with AP its a waiting game. Not much you can do. When approval comes through your activation trip or final move will be shortened by the medical date which expires in August. Hopefully no need to do them again.
-
Ok, let me repeat this again. DONT KEEP IT SINGLE. That is material misrepresentation. The facts have changed since you filled the DS260 and you have to tell them. If you keep it as single, you will either be denied a visa, or get your green card revoked if they find out later rather than now. You will never be able to bring your wife over. You DO NOT HAVE A CHOICE in whether or not to tell them you are married. You have to tell them the truth. And if I were you, I would do it NOW and not in the interview, your interview is scheduled, it can't be delayed.
Just as SusieQQQ said, get this done like YESTERDAY!!!!
-
You need to be sponsored by a US company to get an H1 visa and the job needs to meet the set criteria. Unfortunately a flight attendant will not fit the bill.
You are only 21 so I would advise getting a job with an airline in the UK/Malta, you should be looking at the full service carriers like BA, Virgin.....try to aim for airlines that do transatlantic routes although you will not be put on these routes until you build up seniority/experience.
Alternatively look at low-cost carriers, easy to get in. Get experience and then head for a full service carrier.
Once in and you get yourself on transatlantic routes, you may meet a nice American and take it from there ;-)!!!!!
-
I would recommend going for the interview minus the missing docs, that way you are put on AP, giving you time to chase up the missing docs.
Rescheduling could be dicey and no guarantee they will give you the 2 month leeway you want.
Don't risk it, is my advice.
