  1. Also, you have to fill out the DS 160 form! After you complete it they will send you an email with the completed form and a barcode on it and your fiancé will have to print it out and send it in with the rest of the documents.

All documents have to be organized in the order they are listed on the paper (the link that I gave you).

For some countries, this process is different. Either the fiancé sends the documents to the consulate or brings them to the interview.

  2. Hmm, sometimes they send packet 3 via email. But this is what packet 3 looks like: http://photos.state.gov/libraries/cambodia/231771/PDFs/k1_visa_instruction_english--01--Dec-2014.pdf

Your fiancé will have to gather all of those documents listed and have them translated. (This includes their birth certificate, police certificate/records, military records, and court and prison records. Your fiancé will also have to send them a copy of his biographic page on his passport and the affidavit of support to the consulate). I am still waiting for this step, so I am not sure when exactly you can make an appointment. I know that the medical has to be done before the interview!

    Hope this helps!

  3. Hi everyone,

My sister is going to be my fiance's joint sponsor and she makes $29,120 a year. She is married and has a different last name than me. However, she lives in the same household as me but doesn't have any dependants and is not dependant on anyone. So I was wondering if living in a household of 5 people affects her being able to be our sponsor?

also do we both fill out the I 134 forms?
