To at least two people on the other April aos filers thread, they're also from Washington, so I guess it must've been some sort of problem on the field office. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/590635-april-2016-aos-filers/page-165#entry8269823
Ah, thank you! I didn't even realize there was another thread. Now I'm not as worried

Our interview for Sept 14 was cancelled
Our status online says:
We will notify you by mail if the appointment is rescheduled, a decision is made, or if we need something from you.
We got a letter but it was just a cancellation notice and also says we'll get another letter.
Has this happened to anyone else?

Our interview was scheduled for the 14th of September!! I really wasn't expecting it til like November. For the visa interview we were beyond prepared. I did tons and tons of research on what to expect. For this one I've done none! But I'll get to it now.
Congratz to all new approvals!

As of today, "new card is being produced" for husbands work permit Interview hasn't been scheduled yet though. Good luck to all!
-
Yesterday husbands case status changed to "ready to be scheduled for an interview"
That was A LOT faster than we expected. We were prepared to wait patiently until October. Now we wait anxiously for the letter in the mail to see what the next steps are.

Hubby and I also just walked in for his biometrics (only 4 hours before his appointment ;p) in Seattle and they were fine with it. It was super fast and easy.

Received biometrics appointment letter for the 9th

Received text message for AOS accepted checks cashed 4-19-2016
Woohoo! I received the text message with case number for tracking that said it had been received. Is that what you got or did it actually say accepted?
-
Now I see you are filing K-1 we are all filing AOS. (adjustment of status) that is probably why your process is moving different than ours.
No, I'm filing AOS too. But from a K-1 we have to go through AOS after marriage as its not an immigrant visa.

I sent my husbands on April 8, yesterday the check was cashed but I didn't receive any NOA.??? Does anyone know what the NOAs are for this process? Like they've received it, approved it, etc.
-
Yeah, they were a little rude. We walked in to hand his packet over and we were the only ones in there and there weren't signs to tell us where to go so we were just standing awkwardly, looking around and then an officer says "Let's go! What do you wanna do?!" But in a really rude tone. They all just seemed in a bad mood and rude.
But Phoenix is "America's Friendliest Airport" I personally love it and have never had a problem there.
THANK YOU TO ALL! Such a massive sigh of relief. So there can't be many left for interview?!
My POE is 10th Feb, Phoenix. Is there anything I should know?

Yayy, Congratz to all new approvals such a wonder feeling! My fiancé and I just crossed the border into El Paso, Texas about 2 hours ago and are now waiting to board our flight to Seattle. The officers at the border and here at the airport really could have been a lot nicer ?

MASSIVE CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When is his POE!!! happy for you!!
Think there only few sept filers left!
Thank you! Hopefully on Monday if he has visa in hand by then.

Hello, lo prometido es deuda: on Monday my fiance had his medical. He was asked what his tattoos were but not what they meant or anything. And he got burned on one of them so it looks a little funny and they asked if he covered up another tattoo with it but he just said no, that he got burned there. Wasn't asked anything about them at the interview. Good luck!

Fiancé had his interview this morning and was APPROVED! thanks be to God

Eeeeeek, I'm gonna fly out tonight to meet up with fiancé at GDL airport tomorrow morning and fly to Ciudad Juarez together. Monday is his medical, Tuesday ASC, and Wednesday is the interview! Getting so nervous/excited/anxious. I feel nauseous! Ha.
-
When is your interview? My fiancé has 2 tattoos--one is a (half geometric) human heart and the other is a star with a "dragon eye" in the middle (lol). I'm a little worried about that one too even though it was also just a silly first tattoo. His interview is in 5 days so if yours isn't before that, I'll let you know how it goes!

Yay, congratz!
May I ask if you decided to use a co sponsor or not?

Hello everyone happy new year I really need some help on figuring out the timing of the nebraska service center..i need an idea of what date are they in checking the applications..like are they checking in the applications from august. I filled i. My application in september anyone please help im getting frustrated with this timing. Thank you and happy new year
1. Honestly, I've never heard of a petition being sent to Nebraska. Only California, Vermont, and Texas. Are you sure that's where it went?
2. You can check processing times here: https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplayInit.do
Go to the bottom where the drop down box for service centers is and find yours and check. I know it hasn't been updated since Halloween but that's probably all anyone knows unless you can find someone else at that service center.
3. I recommend making a timeline so we can get an idea of your case and better understand and therefore help you

You don't send your affidavit of support with the original petition for Mexico. Here are the instructions for preparing for the interview:

And these are the instructions for the I-134:

Thanks be to God!!!
Finally we are approved!!!!
Yay yay yay! I was waiting for this post! SO happy for you! Congratulations

Our mind can play tricks on us as we sleep. Are you going to the interview with your fiancé?
It sure can! And yes, I'll be there for his interview

Hey guys,
I have my medical on Tuesday and Thursday I'm gonna travel to the States to be with my fiancé for Christmas
Does anyone know if there could be any problems entering the US at that point of the process?
I filled out the DS 160 already and hopefully my fiancé's I-134 documents will arrive tomorrow so I will pay the visa fee and can send packet 3 back to the embassy.
I will bring a copy of the NOA2 and all other confirmations I have so far. I'm also bringing a job verification from my boss, that I'm expected to be back at work on xx.xx.2016, plus school confirmation. (I guess it should be enough though. lol). Has anyone had any troubles entering the States during the K1?
I'm (as always during the whole visa process ) a bit nervous and scared, this time that they might not let me in or anything...
Check this forum http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/67796-yes-you-can-visit/
And lucky you! You must be so excited!! I still have to wait 4 weeks to see my fiancé. Last night I actually couldn't sleep cause I was so excited so I got up at like midnight and "practice packed". Then I had a nightmare about forgetting my passport when I went to the airport haha. And then a dream that it was actually me that had to be interviewed and we were approved.

Hello all,
My brother is going to act as my joint sponsor only because I'm just $600 over the poverty line with my first job and the second one is seasonal and part-time so even though it helps out a bit, it doesn't look very stable so I'm not sure it'll help sponsor my fiance.
However, my brother thinks he should check "I do not intend do make specific contributions to the support of the person(s) named in item 3" because we don't really need him to. We won't live in the same house and definitely don't expect him to give my fiance money.
But does this make his I-134 invalid?Thank you in advance.
